This is a hard question. The music is always good on Sonic games, so I don't know.

I can say that "Dr.Eggman Showdown Theme from Sonic: Lost World" is one of my favorite tracks. But if I wanted to make a list of them, I'd have to go back and listen to A LOT of Sonic themes to decide.

I have to agree with Barathemos and say the Green Hill Zone song. It is always the first song that comes to mind when I think of Sonic. It is just a good song and it fits that part of the game very well.

I am a hardcore sonic fan so naming a couple of favorite songs is going to be difficult however I could listen to Mystic Ruins all day from sonic adventure battle and can you feel the sunshine from sonic CD. I feel as if City Escape is like a anthem for the sonic fans since most of us know the entire song by heart. XD

I've always been a fan of fast paced themes like this, and it really fits the situation: Eggman is escaping into space with the Master Emerald, and you play as Super/Hyper Sonic. Run out of rings and you're dead meat, and the music speeds up when your rings get low. But if there's one slow, relaxing track from this series that I like, it has to be...

Tidal Tempest Present from Sonic CD (Japanese and European Versions). The beginning of this track is easy and relaxed. Then it goes into the second part and is a little quit before becoming simply amazing. The third part is honestly a bit less easy-going but then the fourth part, if it could say anything, would say "Who cares? Let's live a happy life." ... Or something like that.

Well, I got really weird choices for my favorite Sonic tracks.

I for one really like ALL of the entire Sonic R soundtrack. Something about it is so bad, yet catchy and.... good. I watch Sonic R speedruns solely to hear the soundtrack

Sonic CD has that one track I absolutely like (apart from Sonic Boom being a catchy tune) and that is the Japanese version's Wacky Workbench.

Speaking 3D Sonic games, I really like Pumpkin Hill and that ghost boss fight, I don't actually remember the boss name, from Sonic Adventure 2.
