Hello everyone! I am here today to review this Japanese Fire Red hack made to be a remake of Pokémon Gold. This is also my first review so don't expect a really good review!

Graphics: 10/10
Everyone likes a hack of the Gen 3 Pokémon games. You got Light Platinum in that category. Everyone likes Light Platinum. Anyways, the graphics in this game are like Pokémon Gold's, but in color. For example, if you fight a trainer (exception of Red) the trainer would like how he would looks like in Pokémon G/S/C. There is proof in the screenshots. It also looks like Fire Red itself in the game.
Sound: 10/10
In most ROM hacks, the creators don't change the music in the hack and just leave the original music from the ROM to be its music. If you play this game, you will notice that you won't hear the music of Route 1 until you get to Kanto. Anyway, instead you will hear a 32-bit version of the Gen 2 music converted into this game. All of the music(except Route 1) has been converted from Pokémon Gold to this game. NOTE: For a few tracks, you will hear a bit of fuzziness, but it okay. It also fixes the tracks that Game Freak make sound bad in HG/SS as well as the unclear tracks in G/S/C.
Addictiveness: 7/10
I'm not Japanese, and so, I couldn't read the text like many of us. This game is still very fun like any Pokémon game and is one of the best I've played so far. Yeah, not all the legendaries from HG/SS are there, but its good. Why is it at 7? As explained in the first sentence, I can't read Japanese but, I also had never played G/S/C/HG/SS before and had to go to Bulbapedia for help.
Story: 9/10
G/S/C has a good story. Every Pokémon game has a story! And being a remake of G/S/C, You catch Ho-oh, beat the Johto League, and Lance, catch Lugia, go to Kanto, and beat Red himself, the player character of R/B/Y/FR/LG and become the champion of Kanto as well. All in all, it's just Pokémon Gold's story.
Depth: 9/10
Since Kanto was so boring in G/S/C I guess Ealgrete put the legendary birds in where they were in HG/SS. Other than the Johto and Kanto Leagues, there's not that much left for you to do in the game. He also allows you to get the GS Ball at the peak of Mt. Silver and catch Celebi at Level 30.
Difficulty: 8/10
When you think of anything hard in G/S/C, you think of Whitney's Militank. Sure, she's not that hard in this game, but the gym leader after her is the one I had the most trouble with. MORTY!!!!!!! That guy, his Haunters and Gengar that use Hypnosis and then SPAM Dream Eater until you black out. Literally, the only way to beat him was spamming my items on my no-longer-used Tauros and kept using Pursuit.. The next hardest gym leader was Blue. I blacked out twice before beating him. All the other gym leaders were quite easy. NOTE: the last rival battle makes Silver have Level 70+ Pokémon instead of the Level 50-ish ones.

I hope you liked my review! This is my first review ever so I hope you like it!

Not bad for a review man, you meet the 100 word limit and you have some good details and descriptions about the game as well, but I think you should probably space out the categories so it is more organized, neat and easy to follow.

Overall though I think you did a pretty good job with this review, you have the basic idea and you put in some good details as well. I think with a little bit more review making, you will eventually become a master at it! The thing with it is, it takes time and practice to become a good reviewer, so if you are determined to do so, keep reviewing more games! If you just really talk about it and go into detail with your reasoning for the scores and really describing the game, then word count should come easy.

Keep up the good work and keep reviewing! I know you will do awesome because you have a lot of potential!

Whoa, your first review? Nicely done! You followed the rules of review making, developed your points, and really made it stand out. For a first review, splendid.

A few things though. Like always, you could add a little bit more to your information. More development = better review, right? I would suggest not comparing it to other games other than what it's based off of. Like, comparing it to FireRed, and G/S/C was completely fine. Light Platinum, however, isn't really related to it, so it'd be better not to bring it in.

Other than that, awesome job, derek! You'll get better, trust me.

goodboy : Ok! I'll take this advice and use it wisely! I also didn't compare it to Light Platinum, I just said it was in the same category of Gen 3 ROM Hacks.
