I attack lunardarkness2's froakie with my wurmple and totodile..

After I attacked the Gym trainer:Lame's onyx(lvl 15) with my treecko's (lvl 13) vine whip and hopefully defeated it after attacking for 6th time (3 times even before he sent the Pokémon out)I will use all my rare candies, 2 on Growlthie (lvl 8) and one on Pidgey (lvl 9).

Quhark : In order to get a new pokemon into the system, I would need to collect about 5000 Viz in order to work on the software, but then after that, the pokemon would be in the game and would be avaiable for everyone.

I'd want to start with mudkip.

I continue running around with my zubat egg. I look on bulbapedia and saw that it takes 4080 - 4334 steps to hatch zubat. I attack Xhero111's mudkip with my totodile.
Mecha Leo : You can't decide your levels! I can explain the basics for you if you want.
Basically attacking people's pokemon gives you money and exp for that one pokemon.
Your starter must be an extra 5 levels to challenge the next gym.
I think you got the first two down.
You can't decide your own levels, only zander gets to do that, you should tell him to update your profile since it's not in the first post.
If you want to know your pokemon's moves, you can try a wiki like http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Main_Page  and see the moves it has, depending on the level it is. Just type in your pokemon's species in the search bar, scroll down, and check its moves.
You also don't get to decide what pokemon you encounter in any places.

I continue running around a bit more, waiting for the egg to hatch. I told totodile to attack Glaceon Whisperer's piplup.(I feel like totodile is not getting EXP after defeating a hoarde of pidgeys and attacking trainer's pokemon)
