Here we have Rocky For The Sega master system. This was the only Rocky game, at least I've known That has been released on home consoles, but it has a side of ups and downs, with that said. let's get started.
Graphics 10.
From the very beginning of the game, it shows a nice Colorful Screen representing the game title, which scrolls. Once you press start, you'll instantly be on one of the Training stages. It displays a standard blue color screen, with a mini picture showing a very detailed sprite/image of rocky himself, while some of the main sprites like the ones on the training stages, tend to look grainy on some parts, there aren't too bad for a old system like the sms. You go on to the Main fight and everyone appears pretty nicely detailed, and very colorful. The sprites during the fight, happen to remind me of flash games, having some pixelated, but crispy looking characters. The ring, Audience and characters look fairly decent for this title.
Sound:5
out of anything. The Sega Master System in general was known for not being able to produce great video game music.? and That shows off here, as I find the music totally random, and weird.. it just doesn't sound like any game music that I would remember, or wanna recongize. . Like usual. The Sounds are bleeps and boops which is not a surprise here.
Story: N/A. I never watched the movie, or Heard of this game. before I saw it(through an avgn video) thus making me wanna play it on this site. So I didn't pick up any plot at all. So if there is Let me know.
Addictiveness & depth 3. Difficulty 10 The game it's self is not worth playing. I'm not gonna rip off avgn, or make a reference to him, but I will say I agree with him, this game is not worth playing. Because there are 3 fights during the game. Once you reach clubber lang, If you don't have no plans on how to beat him. Unlike apollo he can't be beaten straight through getting close to him, and mashing the 2 button. He'll most likely corner and deal in lots of damage were you'll be down for the ten count. So unlike later games like Punch out for the nes, this game has a unfair type of difficulty. Thus ruining the addictiveness and depth of this encounter.
Overall 5.5 The game looks decent and fun, but it's that gameplay that ruins it entirely. I wouldn't recommend this title, Unless you are one of those people who are interested in obscure games.
