Finally i can review Gastly i freaking love this thing i remember the first time i saw this Pokemon and my jaw just fell to the floor because of how awesome it was...not really though because you know i am not in a cartoon...but anyway you get the point so i wont stall you guys any further so lets just jump in and review Gastly 

alright i just want to tell you guys now Gastly can only be found at night and that will be a problem since some of the worst Pokemon in the game appear only at night which means you will be stuck with....somewhat weak Pokemon but you can make it work if your smart enough another downside about this Pokemon is its move set at first you will be fighting to survive with this guy  his only 2 moves will be hypnosis and lick but if you grind enough you will be alright after that you get mean look at level 13 and that move is useless so dont even use that at level 16 you get curse and that can be somewhat helpful but i rarely use it maybe it is effective and i just have not spent enough time with it but i would not use it and finally at level 21 we get are first real attack since we got this Pokemon which is night shade now nightshade is the signature move of the Gastly evolution line and it is an interesting move you see the move your level is the higher the attack is so the first time you get it should only have 21 attack power and yeah that sucks now but once you level up it gets better and better as you might have guessed but still its a decent move so dont worry that i could talk about the other moves but screw that none of those moves are worth mentioning because at level 25 we get haunter the evolution of Gastly and here comes another sad part the final evolution of Gastly can only be achieved bye trading haunter and....as you can tell if your using an emulation thing such as vizzed you cant get Gengar so sorry people and here comes another downside to this pokemon the last 3 moves it learns are confuse ray dream eater and destiny bond those moves ARE FREAKING USELESS so dont bother using them alright thats it for its moveset now for its stats well haunter stats at max potential equal up to 405 and most of those points will be put into special attack since he is a ghost so that makes sence i suppose now its lowest stats are its health this guy can be knocked out pretty fast to so dont try to let this guy be the tank of your team because the results will be poor as for weaknesses well its only 3 weaknesses are psychic dark and ghost which is good because those types are not to common in the game as for tms and hm please give this thing some tms it needs them to be effective now the 3 moves i prefer are 

Zap cannon 
psychic 
shadow ball 

but hey those are just my thoughts so pick what you want finally for the elite 4 now this is a tricky one but...i say only take it to the elite 4 if you get Gengar which is...impossible so that it time for final thoughts 

Final thoughts:now i just want to say that i love Gengar he was one of my first Pokemon ever and he was one of my first Pokemon cards but he pretty much sucks in this game oh they get much better later on trust me but he just falls to much with low health and a weak moveset only use him if you want to have fun its a guilty pleasure   he can be useful though sorry buddy...
