I would love to try, but... nah. If I even encountered just one, I would be elated, but then I'm sure I might just knock it out.

Only have 20 of them now on pokemon x since traded a lot of them off for other things though.

In official games, only the red Gyarados. In an Emerald Version rom on gba4ios I caught a shiny Nincada, but the app stopped working before I could evolve it. If the Pixelmon mod for Minecraft counts, I caught a shiny Pidgey but didn't do anything with it. Also got the event shiny Gengar for X. So, these are all the shiny Pokémon I technically had, but personally, I would only count the Nincada, since it was the only shiny random encounter I have found, even after the 200+ hours I've spent playing various Pokémon games.

I've only ever captured one. It was a shiny level 21 Voltorb I encountered in the Power Plant near Mauville in Pokemon Emerald. I evolved it into Electrode and traded it for a Mewtwo, which was very idiotic because he's not too difficult too obtain. But I was 9, so I digress.

I am a big fan of Pokémon. So far I have played all existing Pokémon games (including some hacks and remakes). I counted and found out I have 22 shiny from all my collection of games. I guess I can say I'm lucky to get this much

Well not counting the Shiny Garadose or pokemon given out for Promotion or traded, or rom hack ones...I've caught legitly 2

1 was a Rattata during a nuzlocke run, sadly he died thank to a critic from my rival's Pidgeyeoto yeah that sucks...

2. Was a Paras, same run, heck first thing I caught in mount moon, he survived as a parasect and was boxed when I realized he wouldn't be able to go far and survive sucks

But the one time I've cried in pokemon is this....

I've met a shiny growlithe, weakened him to around...oh maybe 2 HP maybe even 6, and then he does Roar.....I cried that day...true story, happened in a nuzlocke run (different from the first) seriously only way it could have been worst is if it were a shiny abra...no chance to capture LOL

Haha, I only caught one, in Pokémon white. I was wandering around (can't remember where, lost my game and 3DS over a year ago) and I was in a cave where you find Axew. I found a shiny Axew, and this was before I knew what a shiny Pokémon was. I was going to run or kill it until I saw it sparkle and I heard some different sounds play at the beginning of the battle. It was a darker green then the normal Axew so I thought it was a glitch or something. I decided to catch it and when I caught it, I searched it up because I wanted to know if anyone else had seen this "glitch" before. I shortly found out it wasn't a glitch and I raised him up to be a level 50-70 Haxorus (again, can't remember what level because I lost the game over a year ago). It was my showcase. I never used it, but whenever people would ask to see my Pokémon, I'd show them that. I also traded a level 30 Golett (a really easy to find Pokémon xD) for a girl Tepig. My starter Pokémon was a boy Tepig so when I raised my girl Tepig to an Emboar, I tried over and over for a baby shiny Tepig. I had over 300 non-shiny Tepigs and they were filling my boxes xD. Man, good times, wish I still had it, I remember clocking about 300 hours on it. Now that's dedication. Lol to those of you who actually read this whole thing, congratulations! Peace .

I have never captured a shiny pokemon I once had a chance with a nidoran though...

Pidgey (G/S/C), Caterpie (G/S/C), Gyrados (if you count that, both the remake and the original of G/S), Shroomish (R/S/E) Geodude (R/S/E) Zubat (R/S/E), Gastly (R/S/E), Poliwag (FR/LG), Floatzel (D/P/Pt), Arceus (Two of them, one was a Toy's R Us event, the other I caught on my own. D/P/Pt). Soo.... 10-13, depends if you count the free Shiny Arceus and the Red Gyrados. I'm a pretty lucky dude I suppose, haha. 

B619ook : i don't remember but i had entire boxes filled with shiny's i traded them before i knew that they were rare and that kind of sucked but i traded them for hacked,legends, and cute pokemon

I've played Pokémon literally since I was like 5, and apart from in a single Rom hack and the red gyarados, I have only caught one shiny Pokémon, a shiny Bidoof. I wish I could get a lot more, but I don't play the Pokémon games as much as I used to so I don't really chain.

   Pff, I change my mind about catching one. I just caught a shiny Loudred on Pokémon Ruby online. It's pink instead of purple, but there are no other differences other than that. Rip off! Still pretty excited though . Now I've caught 2! I had the chance to catch a shiny Wurmple at the beginning of my play through, but I was grinding, so I didn't notice until I one-shotted it... Anyway, 2 shinies! Peace .

At least one. Which would be a Shiny Pidgey. I raised it to become a Pidgeotto. The game I caught it from was in Pokemon Fire Red.

The only shiny pokemon i ever caught was a zubat in gold version. I decided to use it because on one else I knew had a shiny pokemon. I actually came to love the zubat family and he was always in my party of 6 pokemon in every game I played after that.

I never caught a shiny. I mean, if I ever encountered one, I would catch it, of course, but I haven't yet.
