Well, hello everyone! It's me again with another review! I wasn't really in the mood to make a review, but I found a pretty strange hack of sonic the hedgehog that literally forced me to make a review about it. Not really a great hack but a very odd one.

Whats so odd about this hack of Sonic the hedgehog?

Well, the title of this review and the title of the game is pretty self explanatory I guess. You guys have probably seen loads of sprite hacks for Sonic the hedgehog. Strangely Sonic the hedgehog seems to have the most sprite hacks out of all the other classic Sonic games. Some of those sprite hacks are great and also some them are... well, not so good.
Anyways in this hack of Sonic the hedgehog you play as Dr. Eggman (or Ivo Robotnik)! Yep you heard me alright! You may or may not be aware of this but you know what was really called "the fastest thing alive"? Nope, not Sonic, not tails, not knuckles... Dr. Eggman is actually called the fastest thing alive. A lot of videos on YouTube and other things on the internet would call him that.  And don't worry, for Sonic they would call him something like "faster than the speed of sound". So he's not left behind. Not sure about the rest of the great characters though.

Why is Dr. Eggman called the fastest thing alive???

Yes, I know. Dr. Eggman definitely does not look like the fastest thing alive, but time to restore the memories and moments of those people who played the original Sonic the hedgehog, Sonic the hedgehog 2 and 3. Remember those moments right before the final boss were you are so close in catching Dr. Eggman but then he actually manages to outrun Sonic. He can also outrun tails and knuckles too! No matter what! Even if your super or hyper Sonic, tails, or knuckles, he will still outrun you and then the final boss will arrive. Even if your the debug ring!!! It's just so weird and unbelievable to see a fat and evil old man just outrun Sonic or the debug ring like that!
Even go on YouTube and search about Dr. Eggman. Yes, I know you will find lots of "PINGAS" but you will eventually see "The fastest thing alive". And thats how Dr. Eggman gets his title! Now lets talk more about this hack!

Gameplay: 3

Wait... I thought he was called the fastest thing alive. Whats up with the low rating? Anyways, if you played the game, you probably know why this game got such a low rating. It is because nothing can effect him. And I don't mean that in a good way. Like really, he can't get any rings, he can't get hit by any of his creations (badniks), he can't lose rings... etc. Just makes the game so boring. If Dr. Eggman is too invincible, then whats the point of even playing this game? Also the physics is just plain. What I mean by that is Dr. Eggman is always going in the same constant speed, no matter what, and he jumps a little high but he falls down so fast! Also when he goes underwater, he's still the same speed and still has the same physics! Like come on, that is just not right for a Sonic hack. Even the motobug who is one of Eggman's creation has his own hack of Sonic the hedgehog and he even has better physics and everything effects him like Sonic. Except the motobug is too slow. 
Also even this hack has it's own glitches. Well, actually a lot of glitches. Like spikes and drowning would actually effect him, except that when he dies, the game would freeze. Also not all of the zones in this game is playable due to Eggman's size and all other glitches.
And when it was the first time I was playing this game, I got excited when I was about the reach the boss. I expected something funny to happen. Like Sonic is the boss or something. Nope, instead the zone just ends. How boring.
Well, look at the bright side, at least the level selection screen works so you can be able to explore all the levels with Dr. Eggman. In the title screen were Eggman pops up, press up, down, left, right then A + enter. But unfortunately the debug mode doesn't even work in this game so there isn't that much to explore with Eggman. Also some of the levels were sort of changed a bit. Like there is no loops or tubes in green hill zone which at least makes it a little more playable. Yup, thats a lot of cons right there. And I guess thats all for the gameplay.  

Now, lets talk more about this game!

Graphics: 7

Yay! Finally, a rating in this game that is actually not so bad! Well, actually it's because there isn't really that much that was changed for the graphics. Mostly like the original Sonic the hedgehog I guess, but this also has cons. But lets talk about the pros here to not hurt Dr. Eggman's feelings so hard. (If he has any feelings.) Actually there is only like one good thing about the graphics and it is that Dr. Eggman looks like a boss in the title screen! He does look a little silly but thats how the real classic Dr. Eggman is supposed to look like! He is supposed to be silly and evil! If Dr. Eggman doesn't look too silly, then he will look like a disgusting old man. Thats all about the pros of the graphics. Too bad the pros didn't last so long in this review. Now, for the cons, when your playing as Dr. Eggman, he just doesn't look right. He looks nervous, confused, even a little modest, that just isn't right! He's supposed to have an attitude and be a silly and an evil man! Instead, he looks like he is looking for the bathroom. Eww... Not right, not right at all for a hack of Sonic the hedgehog. Like Sonic in this original game has his personality and attitude. Like if he's standing still, he will actually do something as if he's saying "C'mon lets move it! whats taking forever?" While Dr. Eggman is just being idle and emotionless. Also when ever you complete a zone as Dr. Eggman, he doesn't automatically keep going like Sonic, you can still control him while the part were it says that you completed the act is there. Not really an issue because the game continues on like normal, except part of the Eggman sprite starts turning in too random letters. So I guess, it's a graphic error. It's loads the text instead of Eggman's full sprite. And thats all it for the graphics. The poor hack is still full of cons so far.

Sound: 7

Well, not much to say here. It's still pretty much the same just like the original Sonic the hedgehog. No music or sound effect changed. Well, actually there is no sound effects because nothing can effect Dr. Eggman, and there is no jumping sound effect when Eggman jumps either. Oh well, look at the bright side, you still have the good old background music of the original Sonic the hedgehog. Ahh... Green hill zone, my favorite zone with a great and happy background music. And that is all for the sound!

Addictiveness: 3

Well, If you guys have read the gameplay section of my review, you probably know how the Addictiveness will end up like. If the game play is very boring, then what makes you want to play this game again? And I pretty much already explained everything in the gameplay section, so I honestly have nothing else to say here.

Story: Uhh... None

What? Wait... whats the story of this game? lol, sorry to say but their ain't really any story here, lol. I mean, if your playing as Dr. Eggman, the antagonist, then what is the antagonist's goal in this game? I just don't know, I guess you pretty much just run around as the fastest thing alive and experiment around. Nothing else to say here. 

Depth: 3

Not much depth here I guess. If you can't really do much as Dr. Eggman then what will the depth be like? I pretty much said everything in the gameplay section again. You can lose or gain rings, can't get hit, can't do anything but just run through the zones and some of the zones aren't even fully compatible with Eggman so not all of the zones can be complete. Luckily you can use the level selection cheat.

Difficulty: 3

I just don't know what to say. This hack is very easy yet some or maybe even most zones are unplayable. If almost nothing can hurt Eggman then whats hard about the game? Even though it's easy, it still makes it boring. Once again I explained most of this in the gameplay section. Thats all for the difficulty I guess.

Overall: 5

Ehh... Not really a good hack of Sonic the hedgehog to play I guess. And thats all for my review guys! I guess a little mistake I did here was that I pretty much explained majority of the things in the game play section but thats alright. Thanks for reading this!
