In 1995, Disney pixar released the movie Toy story, This was one of the first ever movies to truly show us the true power of CGI, The toy story franchise has been hailed by Critics everywhere as one of their greatest pixar films of all time, Then we got a sequel in 1999, Toy story 2, while It wasn't as good as the first one, It still did pretty great for a sequel! Now today I'm am going to be showing you guys the Game boy color game Toy story 2, God knows if This will be good, Let's find out.

Story-7/10
The game adaption of the hit film follows the same exact story of the movie, Buzz lightyear's best friend sheriff woody has been kidnapped by a greedy toy collector named Al mcwhiggin, Now It is up to you to guide buzz through more then 10 different levels in order to free your best friend and save the day! Along the way he will get help from his other friends Hamm the piggy bank, Mr potato head, Rex the dinosaur, and slinky dog.

Gameplay-7/10
In this game, you will be controlling the titular character Buzz lightyear as you get from the beginning to the end of the level in once piece, If you're good that is. Buzz is armed with a couple of moves, including is laser which can be used to zap his foes. The controls are pretty simple for a Game boy color game, except for one thing, The run button and the jump button are both the same thing! That's right, some dude over a THQ thought It would be a good idea to Make the A button both Run and Jump! The B button however is completely normal, As It just fires you laser attack. In my opinion, They could've just let you run by double tapping the D-pad like in some other games, but no, they had to screw It up like this. Anyways, In each level you will be collecting a bunch of Items, such as coins, which will boost your score, Batteries which will refill your health bar, and a bunch of others. I guess that Is It for the Gameplay. One more thing, the enemies are a joke, they will mostly be Buzz and Woody's friends, such as Hamm, Rex, and a bunch of others. Anyways That is It for the gameplay.

Graphics-7/10
I will be honest, the graphics are OK for a Game boy color game. All of the levels that you will be exploring are big, nice, and bursting with color and atmosphere, Considering this is the Game boy color! As for the characters, I guess they look pretty good as well, They are all recognizable, which is always a plus in licensed games like this. Buzz looks like himself, Hamm looks like himself, Rex looks like himself, and so on. The HUD is pretty self explanatory as well, It shows how many lives you have left until you get a game over, How much health you have until you lose a life, how many coins you have, and believe It or not, The game even uses a scoring system! Yes, each time you kill an enemy or collect coins, Your score will increase, I never ever really found  a purpose for this though. Except for when you get a game over the game will display your overall score and a ranking to go with it, Such as space ranger, rookie, etc.

Sound-6/10
Believe It or not, The sound is actually one of my favorite parts of the game! All the songs you will be hearing in the game are happy, bright, and seem to fit the mood of each level that you will be exploring. As for the sound effects, they are your typical stuff, you get beeps, boops, kabooms, boings, etc. Except there is one problem I have with the music in this game, It can get quite repetitive! I remember actually muting my Game boy color a few times! And one thing you should be aware of, Each time you die, The music will keep going and going, It won't start over from the beginning.  But one thing in particular, The game over music! The first time I ever heard It in the game, I literately shut off the game, ran out of the room, and didn't touch the game for two weeks, I didn't know you were this dark Disney!

Addictiveness-6/10
Is this a game that I am ever going to play again? Well, I guess. The game does have It's moments, but in other times, I can get quite simply repetitive. If I remember correctly, I have beaten this whole game only 2 times in my whole entire life. I know what you are going to say, that is low even for a gamer like me,but still, The game Is quite hard and will require some strategy to beat at some certain points.

Depth-4/10
If there is one thing I cannot get over, It is how little the game offers after you finally beat It, I remember beating this for the first time and not touching It until like 1 week later. The game also uses password save, Each password is 4 digits long, Not long for a game like this, But the game is indeed short, So you won't really need It unless you want to play any of your favorite levels for another time. I just wish the game offered some more extras.

Difficulty-8/10
This is one of the game's high points, At certain times the game can be quite easy to pick up and play, but in the later levels, the game can quite mind-numbingly tedious and unplayable, for example, at the time this game came out, most of my friends who owned this game could not even figure out how to beat the first level! It is easy as pie! That is if you have the manual with you, what Am I saying? Of course you'll have the manual with you! That is If you buy the game brand new. But If you can get past those flaws, then the game should not give you any trouble beating It at all.

Overall-6.5/10
So in general, This game was not too bad, But Trust me, It would've been WAY better then what We got, but besides, Sometimes we have to be thankful for what we have. I gave this game a 6.5 because what It does right for a licensed game. So overall, I would suggest you rent this one before you actually buy It for reals.
