Donkey Kong Country 2 is a direct sequel to Donkey Kong Country that takes place on an island nearby Donkey Kong Island. This time Donkey Kong has been captured and it's up to Diddy and Dixie Kongs to climb the island, defeat King K Rool and rescue Donkey Kong. An epic adventure awaits as the awesome duo partner up for another exciting adventure with Banana collecting fun.

The colors are as follows;
Red will represent each world and title each section.
Green will represent every level within each world.
Yellow will be the color for finding and locating each of the DK Tokens found throughout the game.
Light Blue will represent each of the Kremlin Tokens you earn from completing the Barrel Mini-Games.
Orange will highlight each of the bosses found in each of the worlds.

All other information provided in this guide will be in the standard color. Please note: Each boss in the game will give you 1 Kremlin Token. There may be 1 DK Barrel in some levels but 2 or 3 in other levels. Finding some of these may be difficult to search for and might be difficult to explain clearly so I may leave it somewhat broad and allow you to search a specific area to find each. I will not be including Swanky Kong's game show answers or Wrinkly Kong's College (It's College right?). You can use the save state feature and well... that means you'll get the answers right anyway.

I also decided to break this post into 3 parts due to it's extreme length. This might be something I will do more often.

Gangplank Galleon
What I love about this world is that Diddy and Dixie Kong start on King K. Rool's ship where Donkey Kong originally fought King K. Rool in the first game. Apparently the ship landed on base of Kremlin Island and is the starting location for the first world. You will need to search for the hidden DK Tokens and Kremlin Tokens found throughout the ship and rest of the game. Cue the awesome music, bring in the enemies, drop the barrels and prepare the bosses because Diddy is coming for ya. Also Cranky Kong and Funky Kong can also be found but if you follow the guide you won't need them.

Pirate Panic
This level is your most basic level in the game. There are 2 Kremlin Token barrel to find here and you also get to ride Rambi similar to the first level of the first game. Make your way through to about halfway before you get to Rambi. There is a crack in the ship that shows bananas below you. You fall down there and head to the right and a barrel will blast you into the sky. Your second barrel is found after Rambi. You will see a set of bananas pointing in the shape of an arrow. You will need to use Rambi's Run ability and ram into the door on the ship and this takes you into your second barrel. Play through the rest of the level and get your prize.

Barrel 1 - Find the Token. If you hop on to each of the barrels in a stack it will lead you to your first Kremlin Token.

Barrel 2 - Destroy Them All. Using Rambi, just run into each of the enemy or jump on them which will kill them. At the end, your 2nd Token will appear.

DK Token - Easy to find near the end of the level. Jump onto a barrel stack and you can claim your first DK Coin.

Mainbrace Mayhem
This time you're up on the masts of the ship so you'll be climbing upwards to claim your prizes. You'll have lots of ropes to climb on to so don't worry. This time there are 3 barrels you can earn Kremlin Tokens from. The first Barrel can be found near the start. If you head directly to the right and either roll or float over to some ropes you can climb into your first barrel.  The second is actually the cannon that requires you to take the cannonball over to it so that it can launch you. The last barrel is by the G Kong letter. Climb onto the mast to the top left, but you will need both Diddy and Dixie to grab this Token.

Barrel 1 - Find the Token. If you just climb the ropes to the top with using your speed climb you'll get it with no trouble.

Cannon - Destroy Them All. Using the cannonball or the boxes on the ledges you can throw them into the Kremlins climbing the ropes.

Barrel 2 - Collect the Stars. In this mini-game you will need to collect all of the stars by climbing ropes and dodging the enemy. If you move up and down you'll collect them with ease. Climb to the top and your token awaits.

DK Token - Found after playing the last mini-game (Win or Lose). You will land on the uppermost area of the level and your prize is sitting off to the right.

Gangplank Galley
At the beginning of this level there are a stack of barrels and a Kremlin Barrel right above you. Climb up and into the barrel. As you prgress deeper into the level you'll come across your first invincibility barrel. You will need to rush through the rest of the level with that because there are some pretty powerful guys you need to beat using the invincibility. There will be a large stack of barrels that require you to climb to find your last Kremlin Barrel. Afterwards, finish the level and you'll be set.

Barrel 1 - Find the Token. There are 4 chests. If you just break them all open in the 10 seconds you'll find the Kremlin Token.

Barrel 2 - Find the Token. There are hooks and you'll need to either float or jump into each of the hooks to the top right of the screen to find the last Kremlin Token.

DK Token - After you win the first barrel mini-game you will need to jump on to the hook found to the east of that first barrel. The DK Token is found up there.

Lockjaw's Locker
This level will introduce to the Water aspect of the game. This time you'll learn to swim and even encounter another ally, Enguarde, that can help you find Kremlin Tokens and get you to the DK Token. The first time you find Enguarde he will be necessary to get the onlu Bonus in the level. The second time you find him, he'll be necessary to get the DK Token. When you see the orange piranha you'll need to find a secret path nearby. Some boxes you can swim through. Grab Enguarde and head up to a path of bananas that head up and down. If you go up where they're at you'll find bananas pointing to a box. Use Enguarde's ability to charge and he'll crash through the box and into the bonus. When you get further into the level you will lose him but you can find him again similar to the first time. Search for him by lockjaw and continue progressing. Near the end when you reach the upper left most area of the level you will need to use Enguarde's charge to the right to get you through some barrels to grab the hidden DK Token. This might take a few tries.

Bonus - Find the Token. This is a maze but if you follow the paths where there are no bananas you can make your way to the token with plenty of time left over.

DK Token - Using Enguarde you will need to charge to the right to reach a path that you can't get to when the water drops. Save state might be useful or you may need to go through the level a second time.

Topsail Trouble
Probably the coolest of the first world's levels because it's rainy and you meet a new ally, the Snake: Rattly. He can bounce throughout the level and reach higher areas by using his charged bounce. This will be necessary to grab your first barrel. This level, for the most part, goes straight up with some moving left to right. As you climb on the right side of the level you will come to a slanted mast. If you use the Kong's throw ability or Rattly's super bounce you can climb onto a platform and into the Kremlin Barrel. After you've lost your ally you will be climbing the ropes. When you come across the 2 dragonflies you'll need to jump to the right of them to find an invisible hook. Use that hook to jump onto the dragon flies and up into your last barrel. Climb the rest of the way to find the bonus platform at the end and you will need to time yourself correctly to get the G Kong letter.

Barrel 1 - Destroy Them All. Either you already have Rattly or you will be given one for this mini-game. Use him to jump onto the dragonflies and earn your next Kremlin Token.

Barrel 2 - Find the Token. You will need to climb the ropes in this mini-game to find the Token up top.

DK Token - Found after the no snake sign. You will need to jump across to a platform where the DK Token is hidden on the right side of the level.

Boss Fight: Krow in Krow's Nest
This is a pretty easy boss fight. At first Krow will grab an egg and drop it and it will bounce toward you. You need to jump on it and throw it at Krow. He will do this a second time and you will need to do this again. This will send Krow into confusion and he'll ram the nest. Eggs will start falling out and you will need to dodge them. 1 egg will bounce and you'll need to jump on it (if it does bounce) and grab it to throw at Krow again. Krow will ram the nest again and it do the same. Grab the last egg and throw it at Krow to win your Kremlin Token.

Crocodile Cauldron
This world takes you into a volcanic setting where you will have to deal with a fire environment and more. Probably one of the better levels that I liked was found towards later in this world. I'll make a note of that when we get there. Now... keep reading...

Hot Head Hop
This level is unlike any you've seen so far and this goes for Donkey Kong Country as well. In this level you'll be jumping on brown crocodile heads that send you flying. Plus, you'll also meet another new ally, the Spider: Squitter. Sometime after you progress into the level you will need to grab a chest, break it open and grab the cannonball hidden inside. You will need to carry the cannonball to the cannon to enter into the first mini-game. Squitter will be found afterwards. His ability allows you to shoot long distance webs and webs that you can jump on to. You will need to use this ability to get to a barrel hidden above 2 bananas at the top of your screen. Use the ability to get there. Further into the level before you reach the no spider sign you will come across the last barrel in the game. Use the webs to raise yourself high enough to reach the barrel.

Cannon - Collect the Stars. Jump on to the brown crocodile heads and grab the stars. This is pretty easy and self-explanatory.

Barrel 1 - Find the Token. Use your web technique to climb higher into the mini-game to find the Token sitting up top. (Follow the Banana Arrow)

Barrel 2 - Find the Token. Using Squitter you will need to use your web technique to cross the lava and find the token on the other side.

DK Token - After you found Squitter you will need to use your web technique to climb up above a Y where the DK Token is found floating above. This should be your 6th DK Token.

Kannon's Claim

This level has some pretty cool music in it and is one of the levels in this game that I really like above the others. This is kind of like a mine and you will need to use barrels to make your way up. You will need both Diddy and Dixie so don't do anything to lose either of them. The first Kremlin Barrel can be found to the right of the beginning of the level. Use Dixie to float over to it. As you progress deeper into the level you will blast up on to a platform with a floating DK barrel. If you need to, grab it and get your partner and climb into the Barrel off to the left. As you get deeper into the level you will see a banana sitting off to the right of you. If you jump to it and land on a barrel shot by the Kremlin Gunner you can jump onto him and make it to the barrel.

Barrel 1 - Find the Token. You will need both Dixie and Diddy to do this one. Hop into the barrels and they'll blast you up. You will need to switch characters to reach higher up until you find the Token.

Barrel 2 - Find the Token. You will jump into blast barrels and they'll send you higher. Make your way to the top and you can get the Token.

Barrel 3 - Find the Token. Jump onto the dragonflies and make your way across the the token.

DK Token - Inside the first Kremlin Barrel you can float to the right using Dixie and you can grab the coin and blast upwards.

Lava Lagoon
Very interesting level where you come across a friend who helps turn the lava water into regular cool water. Being in the water will have a dangerous time limit so you will need to be quick unless you want to die. When you get further into the level you will see a seal facing to the left. Cool the water down and stay on the wall to the right (Under the water) to find a hidden path to Enguarde. You can use him to get through the water faster. Right after the no shark sign there is a box and you will need to throw it into the side of the box you stand on to pick it up. This will open a hole to your only bonus. Make your way through the rest of the level.

Bonus - Destroy Them All. With Enguarde just stab all the enemies and you will defeat them.

DK Token - At the end of the level when you reach the last seal you will need to jump into a narrow passage and follow it to an invincibility barrel and make your way to the end where the DK Token can be found.

Red Hot Ride
This level is unique.. You're able to ride on balloons to cross the lava by using the heat provided by the lava. Falling off is not an option. Furthermore, you'll also find Rambi in this level. When you find the no Rhino sign you will need to head to the left and use his charge technique into a wall to open your bonus area (Wall faces to the left). After you grab the half way barrel you will jump onto a balloon with a DK Barrel. If you let yourself float down a little you can go under that area and find a hidden Kremlin Barrel.

Bonus - Destroy Them All. While Using Rambi just kill everything and earn your Token.

Barrel  - Collect the Stars. While using the balloon, float up and grab the stars but you may need to jump to grab some of them. Be careful so that you don't fall off.

DK Token - On the balloon with the DK Barrel you will need that barrel to kill the Bee above the N Kong letter. Jump onto the balloon by the N and use the Kong's ability to toss each other. Throw one above the N and you will find the DK Token.

Squawk's Shaft
Another mine level that will need you to climb to the top. This time you meet up with another new ally Squawks who makes an appearance in the first Donkey Kong Country game. Progress into the level a little bit and after you come across the 2nd set of 3 Kremlins you can go to the right and land in a barrel that will blast you over to the first Kremlin Barrel of the level. The second barrel can be found to the left of the halfway save barrel. You will need both Kongs to reach it. The last barrel is found after you are riding Squawks. You will be rising straight up and can fire on the hook throwing Kremlins. When you rise up to a point where there are 2 Kremlins that will fire their hooks at each other. Kill them both and go on to the platform where the one of the right stands. Head to the right for a secret passage and fly up to the barrel.

Barrel 1 - Find the Token. There are 7 chests this time around. You will need to throw the chests into the bee to find the Token.

Barrel 2 - Find the Token. You will need to blast from barrel to barrel to reach the top where the next Token can be found.

Barrel 3 - Destroy Them All. Using Squawks you will need to fire onto the Bees to kill them earning you another Kremlin Token.

DK Token - Found next to the 3rd Kremlin Barrel.

Boss Fight: Kleever in Kleever's Kiln
This time you're fighting a sword that raises up out of the lava. The first part, you will need to dodge his fire balls and hit him with a cannonball that falls from the sky. When he is hit you will need to climb on to the hooks and cross to the other side. There will be another cannonball waiting for you over there. Fire the cannonball back at em and you'll need to cross back to the first area. Hit him again and he'll sink into the lava but he'll come out and chase after you. You will need to dodge him by using the hooks and take him to the other side each time you hit him. Eventually he'll die and you'll get a Kremlin Token.

After you grab the half way barrel you will jump onto a balloon with a DK Barrel. If you let yourself float down a little you can go under that area and find a hidden Kremlin Barrel.

Bonus - Destroy Them All. While Using Rambi just kill everything and earn your Token.

Barrel  - Collect the Stars. While using the balloon, float up and grab the stars but you may need to jump to grab some of them. Be careful so that you don't fall off.

DK Token - On the balloon with the DK Barrel you will need that barrel to kill the Bee above the N Kong letter. Jump onto the balloon by the N and use the Kong's ability to toss each other. Throw one above the N and you will find the DK Token.

Squawk's Shaft
Another mine level that will need you to climb to the top. This time you meet up with another new ally Squawks who makes an appearance in the first Donkey Kong Country game. Progress into the level a little bit and after you come across the 2nd set of 3 Kremlins you can go to the right and land in a barrel that will blast you over to the first Kremlin Barrel of the level. The second barrel can be found to the left of the halfway save barrel. You will need both Kongs to reach it. The last barrel is found after you are riding Squawks. You will be rising straight up and can fire on the hook throwing Kremlins. When you rise up to a point where there are 2 Kremlins that will fire their hooks at each other. Kill them both and go on to the platform where the one of the right stands. Head to the right for a secret passage and fly up to the barrel.

Barrel 1 - Find the Token. There are 7 chests this time around. You will need to throw the chests into the bee to find the Token.

Barrel 2 - Find the Token. You will need to blast from barrel to barrel to reach the top where the next Token can be found.

Barrel 3 - Destroy Them All. Using Squawks you will need to fire onto the Bees to kill them earning you another Kremlin Token.

DK Token - Found next to the 3rd Kremlin Barrel.

Boss Fight: Kleever in Kleever's Kiln
This time you're fighting a sword that raises up out of the lava. The first part, you will need to dodge his fire balls and hit him with a cannonball that falls from the sky. When he is hit you will need to climb on to the hooks and cross to the other side. There will be another cannonball waiting for you over there. Fire the cannonball back at em and you'll need to cross back to the first area. Hit him again and he'll sink into the lava but he'll come out and chase after you. You will need to dodge him by using the hooks and take him to the other side each time you hit him. Eventually he'll die and you'll get a Kremlin Token.

This is amazing and I think that you did a great job with this game, I mean you can't get into more depth than with the way you did, I mean this is amazing the way you made this. I have always wanted to make huge posts, but this is amazing work man, this is extremely detailed and I think you did an excellent job with reviewing this game and I really like all of the effort put into making this. I admire the effort and detail you put into every last one of your walkthroughs, I don't know how you do it, but this is amazing and I have to say that my mind is blown by your walkthroughs you must get a trillion Viz for submitting this.
