I wonder. People obviously get hired for being attractive. Is it wrong to fire people for being attractive if it's ok to hire them for it? From a discrimination standpoint they seem to be in the same boat.

I would understand that he fired that woman for being too attractive, and so other workers don't get distracted. but the main thing is that it does show some discrimination because she got fired because on how she looks, it's always not about the looks, it should be on how the job is done.

I wouldn't exactly say its sex discrimination, I mean this could be a man and that most people in the office were women or gay.
If he was very attractive a lot of people would probably shrug their work a little. Now the boss I say he could of felt bad that he found her attractive and was mad at other married men in his office. He would of kept her otherwise, but then I again I don't know the details either way this I think is justifiable in certain conditions.

1: no. this is not sexual discrimination. she isnt being fired because shes a female, or anything based on her sex. though the preferential treatment could easily be called sexual discrimination.

2:if he cared about his marriage, he wouldnt have been nailing the office secretary. this is fact.

3: no. it has nothing to do with their work performance, attitude at work, not dressing to fit the required attire at work, or anything else for that matter involving work. in no way is this rightful termination, but it is also not sexual discrimination.

4: i doubt it. the supreme court dosent really care about anything that happens to you or anyone else, unless they have money or the case gets blown up by the media. it should however, because this IS a constitutional issue, not to mention a direct violation of the universal deceleration of human rights. you have a constitutional right (as well as UDHR right), to have employment, and for said employment to be protected against wrongful termination. o be quite honest, if youre fired because the boss dosent like your hair cut, thats even a constitutional issue.

So he apparently fired her for her being a threat to his marriage, it's not really sex discrimination so much as blatant stupidity. It's not her fault that he can't manage the thoughts in his head. It does seem as though he was the one who initiated the suggestive talk with the employee.

Well fortunately, I am in no danger of being fired for being "too attractive"

Ehh.. I think that he was just trying to lie to his wife about who he really is.. cheating on her and flirting with other girls. I honestly don't think men/woman that do this to their spouse are being trustworthy or faith full to their spouse. I don't think it was sexual discrimination .. it's not like he fired her sense she was female.. but I do understand why she is suing him.. I mean I would to if I had done nothing wrong and was being fired because I was to attractive as well.

Now this is just plain stupid. If this isn’t sex discrimination, then I don’t know what is. Firing somebody because they are attractive is no excuse for termination, and I will be shocked if this doesn’t make it to the Supreme Court.
