The Simpson's Hit and Run (here in known as HAR) has been called the best Simpsons game ever, and rightfully so. HAR is sorta like GTA.
Graphics: Not the best I have ever seen, but they present the world of the Simpsons pretty well. Everything is cartoony and feels right. The charcters are accurate representations of themselves. Graphics get an 8 out of 10
Presentation: This is one area HAR really shines in. Almost anything you can think of from the show is here. Remember the car Homer designed? It's here. Remember Pres. George Bush's (the first one) house? It's there. Remember Bonestorm? It's in the game. Remember the Stone Cutters, and Homer's outfit for that portion? It is here. Most of the characters in the show are here. Bumble Bee Man, the Scientist (I can't remember his name), Moe, Barney etc. The menu is perfect for the Simpsons. Presentation can only recieve a 10 out of 10.
Sound: The sound is very well done. All the voices are done by their actors. The music sounds great for the game. The random voice clips can be funny. The dialogue is done well. Everything is very solid on the audio side. Sound gets a 9 out of 10.
Gameplay: The maps are pretty big and have cool detours. The cars seem to zoom around and turning is affected by which car you have. If you drive around hitting everything, eventually you will get a Hit and Run (Hence, the name) and the cops will chase you. Everything is pretty solid here too. Gameplay gets a 9 out of 10.
Controls:
In Car
A: Gas
B: Handbrake
X: Brake/Reverse
Y: Get out of car
Z: Horn
Out of Car:
A: Jump + A again: Double Jump
B: Attack
X: Run
Y: Get into cars, go in to a building, talk to people
Life: This should give you a bit of a challenge to get 100%. Even after you beat everything, you will probably like to come back and play sometimes, just because of how fun this game is. There are 35 cars to find. You unlock races that you can do with your friends. Life gets a 9 out of 10.
Value: There is another really good part about this game I have failed to mention... it is only $20. Value easily gets a 10 out of 10.
Overall: 9 out of 10.
This is a really good game, not only that a great game with a $20 price tag. Recommended for anyone that likes the Simpsons, or most people who just like fun games.
