Sim Ant is a life simulation strategy game based around the life of an ant competing for food and total dominance of the house/yard. In this game you will endure multiple threats or problems while attempting to expand your ant empire. Overall, the game is fairly straight forward but you will need an absurd amount of patience to play this game. In this guide, Red will represent the title of each section. Green will represent the different threats. Yellow represents the different commands and options you can use.

Objective
In Sim Ant your objective is to defeat the Red Ants and conquer the entire house and yard. To do so you are going to need to find food, care for larvae, battle your different threats, hide from humans and lead the Black Ants to victory. In any zone where there is a red ant population you will need to battle them for dominance of the zone.

Threats
Threats are the different elements of the game that will get in your way while you play. Some of them aren't very harmful to your cause but others can be quite dangerous and deadly. You may need to be aware of what's going on around you to better protect yourself.

Red Ants - Red Ants are the real threat of this game. You need to destroy them to win control over a zone. They have a queen, workers, soldiers and breeders similar to your colony. They even seem to have an ant that plays similar to your yellow ant except that their ant is scripted and is less likely to do what you're capable of.

Spiders - These little insects will chase after any ant that walks into their line of sight. They will target both the Red and Black ants but they will usually target you no matter how far away you are and if you're in a pile of ants it doesn't matter. If the spider catches you, you instantly die. Spiders can be killed and food can be gathered from their dead body. You will need at least 20 ants to kill the spider.

Humans - Humans are probably the most troublesome threat in the game. First, if the human is walking through your zone and you are stepped on you will instantly die. Secondly, if the human is running the lawnmower you need to get inside the colony immediately otherwise 90% of the time you will probably die. Usually it rains either before or after the human runs the lawn mower but I'm not sure when.

Rain
- When it rains water will gradually flood inside the ground. Sometimes the water will fill up faster or slower but you'll never know. If you are hanging out too low in your colony you may be caught by the flood and run the risk of drowning. If you're underwater for more than a minute (Maybe it's 2) you will drown. Also note that you can't move when you're underwater and you're stuck in place. More often than not the rain will last a short time and the water will only fill up no more than a quarter of the way and half of the way sometimes. The highest I've seen the water fill up is probably 75% of the colony and it caught my Queen Ant. This will also effect the Red Ant Colony.

Antlion
- Makes very few appearances. So far I've only ever seen the antlion appear in one of the scenarios outside of the main game. If you walk over to the hole in the ground where this is at it will eat you. I am not sure if you're able to kill it.

Caterpillars - Although these are not a threat, they do produce food when attacked. If you surround the caterpillar you will eventually kill it. I think you will need at minimum 10 ants to kill it.

Commands/Options
In order to better understand how to play the game there are some commands and options that are available to you. Some of the commands help you organize your ants for gathering food, attacks or just to help them get out of the way of the lawn mower. Other commands allow you to see outside of the zone you're in and what's going on around the rest of the house. You can also change the caste of your ants and their behavior.

Yellow Ant Commands
As the breeder ant when you first begin the full game you have 2 options you can use. The first is dig a hole and the second is lay eggs. The only time I've seen these 2 options become available to you is when you're starting out the full game. Even if you become a breeder I've never seen you capable of taking flight and beginning another nest elsewhere or anything like that.

After you've changed form into a worker ant you are able to use a different list of commands. You can call 5 ants (Useful for creating a scent to return to the Colony), 10 ants (Same usefulness), call all ants (Useful for attacking or calling ants back to the colony), release 1/2 ants and release all. These commands are all useful for organizing your black colony the way you'd like.

If you're attacked or you go to do the attacking you can repeatedly press that "A" button to increase your chances of winning the fight.

Caste System
This is useful for changing what type of ant your ants are born into. This basically means that you can make all workers if you'd like or create more soldiers if you're getting ready for war. This will change the percentage of new born ants into whichever you choose.

Behavior
This will alter what your ants will do. The 3 options you have are Dig, Nurse and Forge. Dig means that your ants will focus on expanding the size of the tunnels for your colony. Nurse will have your ants focus on moving the larvae away from the queen and the other larvae so they'll grow faster. Forge will have your ants leave the colony and search for food although they really seem to travel in circles...

Overview
This allows you to see the size of your colony compared to the red ant colony  when you're underground. On this you can see where food and the other ants are located. You can also see how many of each type of ant you have and how many of each type of ant the enemy has. If you're above ground you can see where everything is located, rocks, spider, caterpillar, food, red ants and more. You can also change the overview to show other things like trails which will show the path your ants take when they retrieve food and return to the colony with it.

House
This option allows you to see what's happening in all the zones. You can use this option to change zones (Providing you have Black Ants in other zones). This is also useful to see where the human is at and whether or not he's charging at you with the lawn mower.

Scenarios
I would go into more detail on the scenarios if they were a little more complex, however, they're simple and can be played similar to the Full Game mode. All you need to do in each of the scenarios is kill the Queen Ant and defeat the Red Ant colony. Each scenario will provide different factors. 1 scenario will drain your energy faster than normal, another will provide an absurd amount of food, another will be in a garden and etc. etc. Scenarios are generally easy.

Full Game - Starting Out
Beginning the full game starts your colony in 1 of the 42 zones in the corner of the back yard. You begin your game as a breeder ant ready to lay her eggs. Your first task is to dig a hole in the ground where you can begin the colony so you should search for a suitable location. Once you found a location go to dig a nice small tunnel down into the dirt. It honestly doesn't matter how big of a hole you dig as long as you have room to spread out larvae. In the beginning it will be some what slow paced because you will need to start generating a population of workers and soldiers.

After you've dug out a small space you will need to lay eggs. What happens is you will become a different ant and the queen will auto pilot herself to lay eggs and slowly move around every once in awhile. Your task now is to move some of the larvae around and help them hatch. Moving the eggs around will help them grow faster because if they're all on top of each other only a few will actually grow. Once your ants begin to hatch they'll be able to start searching for food. There should be a supply of food somewhere near the area where you dug the tunnel for your colony. If you grab 1 piece of food and bring it back to your colony you will leave behind your scent that other ants can follow to obtain food. It through this method that your ants know where to go instead of aimlessly wandering around.

**Food will randomly appear at times**

The goal of playing is to get your colony to grow into a large enough size to battle the Red Ants and kill the Red Ant Queen. Whenever an ant attacks the Queen Ant, the Queen Ant will lose. This is true for both the Red Ant Queen and the Black Ant Queen. After you kill the queen, the Red Ant colony will be destroyed. This leads to another red ant colony appearing on the other end of the yard. If you didn't build your colony up large enough to begin breeding in other colonies the red ants will begin growing faster than you. Using the same method described above you will need to battle each of the zones that there are red ants in. Ultimately you will need to conquer the other zones.

Full Game - More Zones
After you've conquered the Red Ants you will need to have no less than 100 ants and a good hand full of breeder ants (Probably 20). When you have breeder ants and you're over a population of 100 they will begin mating and flying off and into other zones to begin breeding there. The more zones you have the faster you can expand. After this, the rest of the game becomes pretty repetitive. There's nothing else you can do aside from make sure there are breeders being produced and fight the red ants...

Tips
There isn't too much in this game to talk about and as for tips, there aren't too many to even add. The game is too simple to get into details on most of the stuff in here. The game seems more educational than it is a game.

1. Whenever you engage in a fight, spam the "A" button

2. Before you defeat the Red Ants you should earn a population of 100 with several breeders to take flight. If you let the breeders build the other colonies throughout the entire yard and house before you defeat the red ants you'll end up winning the game or if the red ants appear in another zone you will need to attack that zone as well. If Black Ant population out numbers the starting out Red Ants 10:1 it would take seconds to annihilate the Red Ants.

3. You don't need to eat food because you can always be fed from your other ants. How? I have no clue...

4.Whenever you see the Caterpillar and Spider try to kill them to earn more food. Food will still randomly appear.

5. You will never need to turn into the breeder ant.. if you do turn into the breeder ant you will be able to call all ants including the breeders and I think they will all follow you (I may be wrong and if I am that still means that the breeder ant option for you is useless).

6. For a more difficult game defeat the Red Ant Queen asap and watch as the New Red Ant Colony takes over the entire yard before you set flight.

I apologize for the short game guide here. Because the game is extremely simple there isn't any more detail I can add to the game guide to help players with their game. This game is based on leading an army and attacking with your ant empire. What you can do is very restricted to directing the other ants. Your game is based on how you would like to play it and there isn't much more I can direct you on. If you have any questions, thoughts, concerns, suggestions or anything in general.. please feel free to message me here on this thread or private message me and I will be happy to assist you.

I never really tried this game out, really. I wasn't into this sort of gaming since it was so confusing, but now that you posted a game guide about it, I'm going to try it again sometime. Well done

Thanks it helps keep me going to create a lot of these massive game guides. Of course, this one is smaller than the others but it is still a game guide nonetheless.
