Most people are familiar with the Sega Console version.
Even I had little to no idea this thing existed on the Arcade.

Since I no longer have the extreme amount of time to master the game with only a handful of "Continues"???
I decided to go for the version of the arcade game that has better graphics, better sound, better chances of survival due to the modern conventions of emulators not costing 25 cents with every continue.
Bonus? You will only need like $2.00 dollars if it were still in use today. OR 2 quarters and a bit of skill.
What?
That's right.
A quarter Muncher that you actually have a fair chance of surviving one go at.

I wish this thing was in every town like "Final Fight" or "Knights of the Round" was.

Particularly because this game only takes a few minutes to complete 30 to 50 minutes. (I didn't really check the clock I just know it does not take forever.)
Compared to Kningts of the Round? (That game takes hours to complete. Like Three to Four I think. For an Arcade game? That is pushing it. People got to eat sometime dude.)
The Punisher Game is a godsend.

A shame this thing did not catch on to Arcades Everywhere.

I imagine that short beat-em-ups would have caught on big. During The Quarter Muncher Years.
Sometimes there is no need to have a game go on Forever.
After about 5 tries on "Knights of the Round" (Or sinking probably $6.00 total on the thing in a whole Week?) I walked away form that game and didn't touch it again till the "Capcom Classics" Was released on the X-Box. It was just another "Sucker Machine" in those days.

Back to The Punisher Arcade?
This Game Rocks.
If you do not like the tights the Punisher wears? They got Nick Fury for you to select. Can't get more Macho than a dude that survived every American War Since The Second World War.

This one has it all. Gangsters, Terminators, Ninjas, Thugs, Guns, Katanas, and the Kingpin.
I would rate the thing as a 9 maybe an 8 but I am leaning to the 9 more and more.

For those who love the Sega Version, But a knee deep in the modern games, and have little time to get progress on a game after you push the on button?
I recommend this game.

Bonus:If you have an hour Lunch Break at Work? You might be able to enjoy this thing with a co-worker. (It is not quite too short but it can be done in under an hour.)
Good Luck.

Good Luck To All.
I'm done. Stick a fork in me.
Peace.
