The Summer Tour de Vizzed is here. Fun fact, the Tour de France is also going on this month which is what the Tour de Vizzed is based on.

Each day there will be 4 Jerseys you can compete for:
Yellow Jersey: Most words in a day
Blue Jersey: Most posts in a day
Red Jersey: Biggest post in a day
Green Jersey: Most 30+ word posts in an hour

If you get 1st place in a Jersey for a day, you get to "wear" that Jersey the following day. To "wear" it means that the background of your username will have a unique background graphic. Only the top 5 places of each Jersey gets points, 1st gets 5 and 5th gets 1. Whoever has the most points for any Jersey at the end of the competition gets to wear that Jersey for the entire next month. If you have more than 1 jersey, your jersey receives stripes for each jersey color you own.

Along with the Jerseys are Banners that change your username color. They basically represent who has the most points total:
Rainbow Banner: Whoever has the most points so far in the competition
White Banner: New member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who has signed up in the past 3 months)

You'll be DQ'd if:
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in one of the following forums: Crazy House, Vizzed Market, Polls and Questions, Newbie Forum
-You copy content from other websites or other posts
-You use the "tabbing" technique to make a bunch of posts in a short amount of time
-The number of posts you scored toward the Green Jersey is more than half of your total posts made for the day

I'm excited about the summer Tour de Vizzed! I might have a shot at winning a blue jersey if I come up with more stuff to post about! I've managed to get 61 posts in so far today. The Tour de Vizzed was a genius idea to do and it's been really fun for me so far! Thanks for coming up with this great competition!

Yay! Tour de vizzed! Man this competition is a lot harder than I thought. I'm so far going not so bad in getting the blue jersey but I'm not doing so well, in the rest.

I hope I'm able to win this!

This is my TdV event I'm competing in. Most likely I won't win but I will earn a lot of Jersey's. Hope you all play fair and have a great day.

Yeah... this is going to be a Tour de Vizzed full of DQ's, and lots of spam, so it should get the people that would make this competition not so fun out of the system pretty quick.

I love the Tour de Vizzed but it's so much effort. I think I'm going to lay low and get some points here and there now. I'm definitely loving he flame name, nice one David!

I swear... if I get 4th overall again, that will be the 3rd time... I will freak out. It would be kind of funny though it I got 4th AGAIN, and you got 8th, AGAIN,

PacmanandMariofan : It's always a great way to boost traffic on the site. The summer is the best time to hold this because that's when more users have more free time to post so it can get pretty crazy around here.

supercool22 : Most users probably don't play to win, some just play to grab a few jerseys just so they can wear them for a day. There's a lot of things to compete for, you can compete for any of the overall jerseys, you can compete for the white banner or if you really think you'll have the time, you can compete for the rainbow jersey. There's something for everyone.

Dean2k13 : That didn't take too long, did it? You should be commended for having the most points on the first day! It's not something I would attempt, ever. But you're not going to win this competition.

pray75 : Oh I know I'm not haha. I'm actually not really bothering anymore. I think you could call it a burnout. I wasted so much energy yesterday trying to remain at the top but now it's really hard getting there again, which is why I'm not going to try. 3rd, 2nd or 1st for each day is good enough for me.

Dean2k13 : Minimize your effort and maximize your points. Pick two categories you are the strongest at and compete for them every day. Always keep your eyes on your weaker two categories, and if they seem to be slow, go for points on those. I'm a red/yellow kind of guy, but if I see that the top green jersey holder only has 10 posts and blue has 35, I might break the top 5 or even try to win one. If it's a crazy day, I don't even go for it.

God, Does anyone know how much I sucked yesterday? And if Dean got 70 more posts, He would have broke the record.. But, that was just amazing.. There's nothing else I could say..

Uhhmmm, how do you earn points? I've competed in the TDV once (with a team), posted a lot, but our team didn't seem to get points. Do you have to get jerseys to get points?
