megaman 8 is then second non 8 bit instalment in the classic megaman series (the first one being megaman 7)and now i'm going to review this game since no one else wants to do it, but the question stil do i like this game or do i despice it? lets find out.

graphics: 7 the graphics are pretty nice (especially the anime intro) everything is very well detailed but my main problem with the graphics why they score so low is that it looks like they could have been done on the sega cd (not kidding) so i really think they could have been way much better during the gameplay

sound: 8 the music is pretty nice like in wily wars (sorry wily wars is the only other game in the series i've played so thats why i compare the music with it) but its at the same time also kind of unmemoriable the main reason i give the sound only an 8 out of 10 is because the sound can be annoying at times, especially that annoying kids voice i hear during most of the game but its overal good soundtrack and other sound effects like the shooting where way better

addictiveness: 8 as you can tell about the lack of megaman games i've played, i'm not a huge fan of the series but i don't hate it either this can be quite fun to play and feels a lot like previous megaman games back on the nes in gameplay i mainly recommend it for the fans since it feels a lot like a classic megaman game

story: 4 yeah its the cliché classic megaman story again you have to defeat robot masters defeat dr wily and save the world i personly don't play games for story most of the time but i have to be honest that i whould like it if capcom whould decide to have an other story for the next megaman game so thats why the story scores so low

depth: 6 it an well known megaman game in depth there is not that much to do after the game is played out i'm not as far as played out with it yet but even i can tell you that it isn't much more than playing the story out and do it until you are sick of it and not much more so thats why i only rate a 6 out of 10 for this

difficulty: 9 remember how i said sonic battle was a game with insane difficulty? well this game is another example for that since the levels are very big and have a lot of obstacles and enemies in them in fact those levels are so hard that i couldn't get through any level exept for the first level yet and the mini bosses are way harder then i expected they are not too hard but i really expected a little less difficulty in this game ya know so thats why i give it a 9 out of 10 in difficulty

overall megaman 8 isn't like one of my favorite games of all time but i did enjoy it and i highly recommend it for the megaman fans so thats why i give it an 8.1 overall

Nice work. If you could add more detail, that would be great. Either way, this was good.

Good review. You seem a little hit-or-miss about this one. Personally, I love Megaman 8. And you say you haven't played any others besides Wily Wars? Well, let me recommend some Megaman games! Megaman games cater to several tastes. If you like Platformers I recommend Megaman 1-10. Megaman Legends/Megaman 64 is more on the line of an action game with RPG elements; it's also got a 3d world. Check it out if that's what you are into. Oh, and don't forget Megaman Battle Network. It's sort-of RPG-like and is very action-strategy oriented. The battle network games also have some very good stories, in my opinion. They also used to have a competitive scene. It's not as big as it used to be, but it had one.

Again, great review. You kept each element short but you got your point through in an easily understandable fashion. Nice job.

Honestly?
This is a solid review of the game.
It is almost like a "time-warp" with the way it reads.
When Megaman Went "X" and dropped allot of the "E" for everyone stuff and went for the pre-teen to teenage crowd? Not many knew what to make of Megaman 7 or 8. I would have ranked the graphics and sound and overall higher than the reviewer did but it is an honest take on Megaman games of that year in time.

Megaman was born in the 8-bit era. So, there was allot that the imagination made up the difference in. The music helped direct a few themes of the game and kept the gamer glued.
When Megaman went to 16-bit era? Allot changed and so much was made clear about the world megaman was in.
So when "7" came out for the S.N.E.S.? Many were confused about the "kiddie tone" developers took. Then "8" comes out and many did not touch it. (At least in my town they didn't.) One of the few games I had no idea was made till I hit a pawn shop looking for S.N.E.S. games for $1.00.
Now "8" came out on the Playstation so the few "P.S.1" games the shop had were priced at $35.00 and up. (Rediculous. But still. True story.)
I did not have the chance to grace Megaman 8 till Capcom did an "H.D." remix on the first X-Box.
Megaman 1-8 and then some. (Called "Megaman Classics". There are a few control issues but nothing like the Playstations "Triangle Sliver D-pad" design issue.)

Back to just talking about "Megaman 8"?

I love that game. But for different reasons than most.
Capcom was making so many fighting games at that time that you could spend an entire year playing them all and still only Complete half. (Those who had a life that is.)
Capcom was "Milking" its fans for money like it wasn't even funny.
When Megaman 8 hit shelves?
Very few got it. (Again in my town.)
It was a good game but when the people vote with their wallet? The gamers back then tended to stick together on a decision. (In my town? We spent enough in the "coin-op machines" and "Blockbuster Rentals". Now they want top dollar? .. Forget it. Not going to happen.)
Up come about five or six years later and I can have not just "Megaman 8" but all of the previous ones for ... $7.00 on my X-Box? (Sold. !Ching.! !Ching.!)
Nice Review.
Good Luck on the next game.

Good Luck To All.
I'm done. Stick a fork in me.
Peace.
