Ok here we go. For anyone who does not know what to do with their skill points in Wild arms 2.

First off their are 6 character, 3 melee and 3 magic users. The 3 melee are all built the same, as well as the 3 magic users.

There are 26 different skill to choose from, however 16 of them are absolutely useless.

First things first, every character needs the UP HP skill maxed out first no matter what. Near end game all characters need UP P DEFEND and UP M DEFEND.

The skills listed above are the absolute must have skills. DO NOT TAKE ANY OTHER SKILLS UNTIL THESE ARE MAXED OUT!!

Now I will make a list of extra skills you should go for when you are finished with the skills above.

Melee Characters
Counter
Critical
Auto Guard- the worst of all of the useful skills.

Magic Characters
Auto Guard- yea worthless
Counter- I suppose why not have the wimpy poky mages counterattack

After you have finished with these there are the skill that prevent status changes. None of these will block it 100 % even when maxed out. That is why these are the least important skills, you get these last if at all. However here are my recommendations.

Down Guard- Ups instant death attack resistance. The most important of all these worthless skills.
Sleep
Paralysis
Petrify
Confusion
