This game has been considered by some to be the worst classic Mega Man game. But is it really THAT bad?

Graphics: The graphics are mostly recycled sprites from Mega man 2&3, adapted for the game boys screen size and monochrome graphics. The new sprites (like the one for quint) are pretty well done, but not as good as other Mega Man game boy games.

Sound: The first time you hear the music, it sounds like absolute torture. However, if you listen closely you'll discover that the music is actually pretty good; it's just buried by horrible sound quality. Defiantly doesn't deserve all of the hate it gets.

Addictive: The game is severely lacking in replay ability. Although we have jumped from 24 to 576 ways to play through from the previous game, there is nothing else that would keep you playing for a long time.

Story: Similar to the previous game, Dr. Wily is causing mayhem and has created another Mega Man killer- Quint (who is apparently Mega Man from the future). The only other thing worth noting is the terrible ending, which i won't spoil.

Depth: The stages tend to be pretty short and boring, and there are only 9 of them, so i can only give this a 1.

Difficulty: The game is laughably easy, even in comparison to other very easy Mega Man games. E-tanks, power-ups, and 1-ups are all too common in the already very easy stages.

Overall: Mega Man II for Game Boy is certainly not a great game. But i won't rate as low as others do simply because it actually has some merits.

Pretty good review dude! When I first opened this, I thought you were going to review Mega Man II for the NES. I do not believe that I have played this version of it. You really explained to me the bad things of the game, and why it isn't the worst Mega Man game out there. I believe that Mega Man 8 for the Playstation 1 is the worst installment of Mega Man. So, you hit your opinion right on the nose. Really good review though! The only thing that I would suggest is that you add just a little more detail. Other than that, you are golden! Keep making reviews dude!
