Now, naturally people would be asking "is this something to do with music?"... as I have said in the description, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with music... but then again, it's kind of an "all around" discussion.

In general, this is more like a rant... or a discussion on why people take something simple and make it complex...

Like for example, I understand that as you get older and if you are born in a much earlier generation... you may not understand the technology and other products of todays generation. But at the same time, because they don't understand what it is... they automatically make it into something complex.

Like for example, I was on youtube earlier today... watching this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCUkjb-AjfU

Now, you can clearly hear and see that his dad obviously has no "knowledge" of these kind of games... his dad only knows games like Pac-Man and stuff... (the real real oldies). So anyways, the thing I began to notice with most people born in earlier generations... is that they tend to make something simple into something complex. Like for example, a person should know... that by now, a solid object cannot go through a solid object.

Clearly seen in this video, the father of "Dan" (some guy that works for Game Informer)... is trying to shove the solid cube through the walls and the glass windows. Like, maybe he thought that slamming the cube into the glass would break it... but how do you come up with the idea that this ordinary cube can just be pushed through a wall.

Sure yeah, the game is based off of portals and the idea of being able to "teleport" per se from one location to the next by going through a wall... but common sense should tell you that a box cannot go through a solid wall. No matter how hard you push that box against the wall, its not going to just "go through"...

I completely understand the fact that these newer systems are confusing for people of the older generations, even I was a bit confused when I got a chance to play anything past PS2... but even then, I ended up playing games like "Resident Evil", "Twisted Metal" and so on... common sense would tell you that your person cannot just walk through walls.

Like seriously, even though I had never played those games until PS1... when I first got a chance to play a PS1, I quickly learned that humans cannot go through walls (unless the wall was extremely soft and fragile). But no seriously, the more I think about this... the more I realize how complex people like to make things.

I understand that with age your mind may forget a bunch of knowledge, but how does someone forget that a solid object just cannot be gone through with another solid object. Like seriously, you have to level with me on this for a bit... we all know that you cannot just walk into a wall and go right through it without any problems... that's common knowledge.

Sure yeah, in these games its supposed to represent more "fantasy" based ideas... but portal is not far off from our own technology itself. Sure, the idea of using portals to go through walls and stuff isn't possible yet... but still, everyone should know by now that you can't just walk through a wall.

Heck, I've dealt with kids younger than me who were just as bad as older people... not all of them are completely moronic in a sense, but you have to admit... why is it that when people try something new, their brain just stops working and they become severely handicapped that they can't even figure out the simplest of things?

Like, not to sound mean or anything, but even though you're playing something new... or trying something new, you should still have some sort of COMMON SENSE no matter what. I know older people who are around in their 80s and they can kick my butt with ease on todays systems without even trying... but even so, I know kids who are like 8 years old and they are already pro at these games.

I just don't get it, why do many of us suddenly just go completely stupid the moment something "different" happens?

Just why... I mean, there are so many things you can relate to... but in all honesty, we all had a sense of common sense when it came to things such as every day life events. We see a wall, we try not to run into it... we see a hole in the ground, we automatically know "do not step in it", we see a tree branch that is really low... we automatically duck our heads. How is it that video games are just so complex for people, or not video games per se... but technology in general?

Seriously, we use technology every single day with all sorts of things... how is using a microwave any different from using a controller... you press buttons to make it do something, and then you press buttons to make it stop (or you wait for it to stop). I just don't get it... I mean can someone explain to me why all of a sudden... many of us just suddenly go brain-dead and come off as a complete retard?

(no offense to anyone with mental retardation, but you get my point...)

Better yet, compare logic to "Limbo" (for the Xbox 360)... there is a part where a boulder much bigger than you and higher than you can jump is rolling down a hill... common sense says "MOVE THE ***K OUT OF THE WAY!"... but nope, people suddenly become retarded on a whole new level of retardation... and go "maybe I'll stand here and let it squish me like paper"
