Ah yes. Time to review a good game. The masterpiece of the platforming genre. What I liked about the game was it's nice creativity, cool and difficult levels, and memorable music. The game starts out as you trying to save a crap load of kings from there transformation into animals by the koopalings. Mario tries to collect all of the Magic Rods from the Koopalings to return the kings into there regular forms. Feels more like the Koopalings are stalling Mario I guess. But last but not least, after saving each of the Kings from there torment, Mario goes to save Peach from Bowser. It seems like a cliche story for the Mario series but well, it'll do. Throughout the first level of the game, you will see the nice touch of the level design and non-difficult parts. But, may you be warned, your only spending your time on the EASY levels. The levels will be increasingly difficult as you will be forced to destroy all the airships and thwomp the Koopa Kids . The game kind of refreshes the controls a bit from Super Mario Bros. 2. The game makes it easy to control Mario and manage him to turn and jump accurately to where you want him to go. It must be noted if you run too fast, you usually fall into a endless pit or get hit by a enemy, referring to you that this is not a Sonic game. The game introduces new power-ups such as the Tank suit/ Raccoon suit, Hammer Bro Suit and other power-ups that could be used to on the map screen. This game is noted to bring the Koopa Kids for the first time, only to mention that they would appear in the Super Mario Bros. 3 show, which they were very annoying '. Bowser has 7 koopalings and all hide in ships in which Mario kicks they're *sses and save Peach, Once Again... from that annoying *** Bowser. Bowser really must be obsessed with Princess Peach, huh. So the game play is very simple, you jump through different platforms to get to the  end where you get a card at the end. The card fills a slot on the HUD  which if you collect three you get lives. Once each three slots have identical cards, you get a larger amount of lives. You get the most for Star cards. Basically let's call it a slot machine, just... uh... adventurous-style? Removing the flag was a step up to keep the game easier as it is pretty difficult in later levels. Now for the level design, you get to jump through 8 worlds to explore enjoyable terrain and environments. They all look pretty which all sets the mood for the Mario style. My favorite one is World 4 for it's nice creativity. Sorry to be off topic, but a similar type of world is in Super Mario Galaxy 2 . It's not hard to praise the difficulty of this game. If you found future Mario games too easy, you'd be so wrong about this one. The Levels in and after world 5 are notable for brutality, especially amongst gamers, like me, who aren't skilled at the game. Oh man Nintendo, I underestimated you for your incredibly easy games now but the games you made back than, Difficult!!! It's hard to even keep yourself alive in World 8. I forgot to mention it looks similar to hell. I guess Bowser is trying to be the...devil? Well it seems pretty canny to me. Anyways, the game keeps it refreshing as you get used to everything the game offers. It requires a little training if your trying to do a full head-on game, like I always do, but be warned, the game will offer you some difficult levels after World 4. The graphics of the game is something that I was amazed to see. Compare it to Super Mario Bros. 1 and 2. I loved all the design in the levels as it is a beauty to see the levels and especially the map screens. Mario looks better than ever, just that it's more noticable that he is a bit fatter than we thought from Super Mario Bros. 1 and 2 o.o. The visuals are noted to be one of the best ones on the NES mainly since it is a good progression of the graphics from other original games. I like how big each level is and it felt very good to explore through different levels. I like scavenging for 1-ups or trying to find the blocks to get to Coin Heaven which is very likable. Each level are large in size which is a good thing. I especially loved all the large underwater levels. Most of the other levels are just regular side-scrolling levels that each have different difficulty set. I found the hardest ones being the Athletic levels. I also forgot to mention the music in the game, it was totally awesome. Each and every one of them are memorable. I loved the Athletic theme and Coin Heaven theme. The sound effects don't get too much attention mainly since platformers don't need any sound effects for characters, well for the old generation to be exact. This is exactly a game you'd be addicted to. Why? Because the game is just pure fun in every level. I would always come back to play the game whenever I'm bored, just to experience a masterpiece's unique set of levels. Not only is each level innovative and creative but all fun in different ways. It's great to beat each Koopaling to there own demise and playing there rather difficult Airship Levels.

Verdict:
Super Mario Bros. 3 is a beautiful game and very enjoyable. If your into platformers, you have to try this game out. Not only was it really good, but it was considered to be the best Mario game in the world by many. You need to experience this game to find why many people say this.

Mariobroidiot : decent review.  however you should watch where you use caps and exclamation marks.  so you may wanna watch that next time. anyways besides those few flaws. Good work on the review. although also next time you can also talk about the graphics sound addictiveness story depth and difficulty of the game. anyways don't be discouraged as i'm simply helping a good reviewer become a better 1

Pretty good review. I started playing this game when I was like 9 or 10 years old and I don't play it anymore but it's such a great game. This game is on the Game Boy Advance and SNES as well. The SNES version is called Super Mario All Stars. It's a collection of the Super Mario Bros. classic originals. The SNES version is the best though.
