May 2013 MEGA Video Competition - Video Hunter - Earn 50,000 Viz or $50

You will need to find games in the Retro Game Room that don't have any videos and submit a video to that game.
MEGA Competition: This is going to be classified as a Mega competition because not only do 5 people get prizes but there's also cash prizes. You get 1 point for each video that you submit that is at least 5 minutes. You earn 3 points for 15+ minute, 5 points for 30+ minute videos and 8 points for 60+ minute videos. We will determine the winners based on how many points they get. In my opinion, this is a very easy competition to score in because you're all playing games in the RGR already so why not record your game while you play? I seriously love this idea for a competition. Unfortunately, I will not likely participate because the mednafen emulator is the one giving me problems right now, so videos are too difficult to get. But I hope this sparks a LOT of videos. |

I don't think I will really be able to participate in this one, as I want my concentration to be in getting the MAME games finished. And as far as I am aware, MAME games can't be recorded, right? There's no way I can make time for testing MAME games, AND playing other games to record. lol If MAME games can be recorded, I might consider giving it a shot. I did test this idea on a MAME game just minutes ago. F8 is to record, right? Singelli : Actually with the last RGR Plugin update, MAME games CAN be recorded 
The more powerful games can slow down your computer (and play slow) during recording if you don't have a fast enough computer but the outputted video will play back at full speed. It is F8, not sure why it didn't work for you, maybe it depends on the game. earthwarrior : If you're serious about it and can get the results taken care of soon after the competition ends than you can.

Davideo7 : Hmmm, that IS odd. I thought I remembered reading that it was possible, but I was confused when I tested it myself. Well, I guess I will try a few games this weekend, and if I have more issues, I'll let you know in my staff thread. I'm not going to go for one of the cash prizes though. Davideo7 : Thanks! I plan on going all out for this competition! I did have a problem at first getting screenshots to work while recording but I got it now. I am however, having an issue uploading my video of Final Fantasy I & II Dawn Of Souls for GBA, when i click to go to step 2 of the upload process it takes me to a blank area that just says "Youtube Video Uploader" with no options to select a file or upload. |
