Ah, Over the Hedge. It was my favorite movie back then. So, when I heard that there was a video game, I had to play it.
Graphics- 8/10
The graphics in this game are OK. They're clear enough for you to be able to identify the characters. However, I know that a Gameboy Advance has better graphics than that.
Sound Effects/Music- 7/10
The sound effects are OK. The music is OK, too but it gets really repetitive over time. Every time you go on a mission, it plays the same music again and again for each stage. The only times when the music is different is when you play a special mission.
Addictiveness- 3/10
The game is not very addictive because the missions and stages get very boring a repetitive. There aren't many new elements introduced often and the music keeps on looping. So, you must be very patient when you fill the wagon and cooler with food in the game.
Story- 8/10
The story and plot about Over the Hedge is presented here.
In the beginning, RJ (the raccoon) tries to steal food from Vincent (who happens to be a ferocious grizzly bear). Vincent caught RJ stealing everything. Vincent was about to eat RJ until RJ said that he would bring everything back in one week.
While walking away from Vincent's cave, RJ finds out that he has entered EL Rancho, a peaceful suburb full of food.
As climbs on top of a tree to get a view, Verne (the turtle) and his gang of foragers have just woken up from hibernation.
Later, Hammy (the rapid hyper squirrel) discovers the hedge that borders the forest and the suburbs. Once Hammy gets everyone to the Hedge, they meet RJ. Not long after, he starts talking everyone into getting human food. During RJ's speech, Verne started to get suspicious about RJ and started wondering if he was hiding anything. RJ never mentioned that he needed help so he wouldn't get eaten by Vincent. He just tricked them into helping him.
Depth- 5/10
The game doesn't really have much to offer. All you do is run through the forest, Avoid getting spotted by humans, get past mean dogs and cats and dodge Vermtech traps and, of course, gather food.
You can also create custom levels but, they're not much fun.
I also do have a complain about this game.
That complain is; you can only play as Verne or RJ in regular missions. Don't you remember in the movie when RJ was stealing stuff from people's houses he takes everyone with him? Why can't you play as other characters in normal missions? Besides, Verne never went with RJ to steal products until the last heist!
The game also has a store where you can buy furniture and health, attack, and stamina upgrades. The furniture is completely useless unless you want to get 100%. However, the kids (the little porcupine dudes also known as the owners of the shop) only accept candy instead of other currencies like coins or something like that. It's not like I'm complaining that they only accept candy. They are kids after all. You find candy by well, finding them on the floor or by touching special trees. How does candy come out of trees? We don't live in Candyland! By the way, what are candies doing on the floor of the forest and streets? Are the people of EL Rancho litterbugs? There's also another way to get candies. It's by hitting dogs. I don't get the concept about dogs barfing out candy. Maybe they swallowed it by accident I guess... I think I'm going WAY to deep so, I should just stay simple.
Difficulty- 7/10
The difficulty can be really challenging some times. There are three difficulty options: Easy, Normal, and Hard. Easy is well, easy to beat. Even a baby could do it. Normal is; well, your average difficulty. Not too hard, but not too easy either. Hard mode is the REAL DEAL. If you play on hard mode, you're guaranteed to die at least once. There are kids running all over the place with humans walking everywhere and  dogs and cats charging at you with everything they've got.
OVERALL- 7/10
Overall, it's still a great game despite its many flaws. Long live the Gameboy Advance!

An alright review. You should space out the writing more so its more easier to read. Just a suggestion.
