Amazon Refund Issue

I sold my projector to this person and I told them that I couldn't find the cord that can connect it to a laptop. The person did not mind, but wanted me to send it as soon as I find it. Two months later, with no luck finding it yet, the person wants a refund. I never agreed on the refund. The person got their money back. Apparently I changed my credit card number before the refund because I thought I lost it, so now amazon tells me that it is declined and could not take the money out of the credit card. And they said that if I don't change it to an approved credit card, they will cancel my account. I don't mind this at all, the problem is that I owe them money. I decided to wait till I get my merchandise back and then change the credit card because this person has had it for 2 months and I don't know if it is going to be in the same condition or not. If they close it before I get it, are they going to send a bill to me or go to jail or what? I am nervous about what is going to happen, but on the other hand, I never wanted to refund this person because it was passed the 30-day limit. It is so unfair to me. So what will happen? Are they going to JUST cancel my account? Are they going to cancel my account and send a bill? Am I going to jail for this? I hope they just cancel my account and not have to owe them anymore.

Here is the message I got from Amazon:

Marcmoney : Sounds to me like you got ripped off, especially since it was past the 30 day refund. I think they won't close your account because you owe them money. If they do close it, you probably won't have to give them their money. At least that is my opinion.

Yeah, you need to get in touch with Amazon and tell them why that guy doesn't deserve a refund. You told him up front (Hopefully on the sale page) that you didn't have the cord, and he wanted it anyway, so it's his fault that it doesn't meet his expectations.

Also, it's probably just a VGA to VGA cable, you can get those for like five dollars at wal mart. Why is this guy butthurt at you?
