I would pick Tyranitar. The base stats of the Pokémon is 600 (just as much as a legendary Pokémon). It has good hp 100,the attack power is amazing 134, defense is also good 100 , but being a more power Pokémon, it  the sp. Attack is fairly good 91, and the sp. Defense is better 100.Last, the speed is kind of bad being 61.  Overall, the Pokémon is crazy strong and, is a good Pokémon to battle ash at Mt. Silver.

i would choose snorlax the normal type pokemon because it has really high defence and attack and it can learn so many moves and if you give if leftovers it is nearly invinsible

I would probably go for metagross since i find that is a fantastic Pokemon and he destroyed Steven for me in ruby.  Also, he is my 2nd fav pokemon and is a pseudo legendary.
