The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time is one of the best action-adventure games because it took one of the most ambitious leaps forward, not only in the highly-esteemed but in the gaming industry generally, and not only met but exceeded expectations in all areas.
Graphics: The high quality of the graphics is apparent in the many varied locations, ranging from open fields to inside volcanoes or spooky castles filled with water, and also in the huge variety of creatures Link encounters, from floating electric jellyfish to fire-breathing dinosaurs over 4 times the size of the player.
Sound: The soundtrack in this game is impressive in that all the areas of the game are accompanied with atmospheric music that not only matches the mood of the story at that point but also often the culture of the various civilizations Link meets, from the rock-eating gorons to the Zora fish people. Many of the tracks have been remixed by fans. The sound shows a huge attention to detail with realistic, authentic touches such as different sounds whether your sword strikes rock, wood, etc.
addictiveness: There is a large level of depth to this game. There is a large degree of freedom in how to approach the game, how to approach combat, and there is so much to do in the game's open world and so many opportunities to explore and engage in optional activities that a person could easily play for days stopping neither to eat or sleep.
play control: As impressive as bringing Zelda into an open 3d world it's more impressive that the controls are so smooth, easy and ahead of their time that the controls become an invisible connection to the experience.
overall, high marks for this nintendo classic! So glad it's on vizzed.com
