Do you know about that time, when you're about to play a game, but somehow, you get completely and utterly owned by enemies/bottomless pits/bosses/traps/deadly items/etc? Well,i'm looking for those kind of moments.Personally,i have failed a lot of times in adventure games. Here is my biggest fail in gaming ever :
-I was playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 on my PS3,and i was on the death egg.You know, that last stage, where there are no rings?Well,it is really simply hard.I died many times, that second boss is painfully stressing. But then,i managed to defeat the final boss!I was so happy,i decided to jump just for the sake of it.But,when i did,my character glitched, and got stuck to the wall. The explosion animation basically took the entire screen,my character didn't die,and the timer was completely frozen.I wonder...what kind of demonic glitch is that?Since that day,i never played Sonic 2 again.I couldn't bear the pain of being able to defeat the final boss, and then getting stuck onto the wall.Poor me...I didn't even get any trophies.

Oh my gosh, yes. There was this one time on Mortal Kombat on the PS Vita before I sold it where I could not beat the king of the Underworld. I forget his name right now, but I tried at least a hundred times, and could never beat him, so I just eventually gave up.

Are you talking about Shao Kahn?Yeah,he is really hard. That hammer of his takes a lot of life from you,and it always hits. It's almost like there is no way to guard his attacks.I hate overpowered bosses...why can't they make cool balanced bosses? You know...somenthing like Akira being the final boss in the Virtua Fighter series...(Dural doesn't counts, since she is a bonus boss.)

This is an odd topic to bring to a game room where competitiveness can be a way of life.
But...I'll indulge.
My Favourite defeats are Ninja Gaiden 1-3 for the N.E.S. Before Emulators I...(Just watch the Angry Video Game Nerd On Youtube and Find out for yourself.) I had difficulty being thrown back a few levels if I couldn't Eliminate the Final Boss.
Another Favourite defeat is Nightshade for the N.E.S. That game now has a strategy guide on the web and it is still hard to complete. Not Impossible. Just overtly difficult. Someone had to make that guide. Years after the game faded into oblivion even.
I use the term favourite very loosely and sparingly. No one likes loosing. But when you know the game is designed to be hard and your actual life has to go on with taking that loss.? I accept it. I move on till I have time for it again.
The Losses I don't enjoy were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles The Coin-Op arcade game.
I did win. I beat that Shredder big time.
But, At The Cost Of Four Dollars Worth Of Quarters. In one sitting. Today four dollars is nothing. When I was a kid it was something. The next day I passed the machine? The three letters I typed in were erased. (The store turns off the electricity each night.) So I learned to think bigger from that day on. The only time I put more than 50 cents into a machine was if another person was playing it.(Even then I only spent one dollar.) If we won we would have something to talk about. Then came the competitive Street Fighter Games. I learned my harsh lesson once already, and I had a job by the time it hit my town. Still I only spent about 50 cents every go. (About 3 times a week.) Eventually when I got good. I beat the thing with a couple of characters a couple of times. Mostly with Ryu. Later when I heard the Jocks and other groups in high school Bring up the game in the lunch room. I got competitive and decided to test my skills against all challengers. I limited myself to two dollars per go. I soon noticed people pumping ten dollars into that machine to be "king of the moment." If I lost I lost and walked away. Eventually I got a shot at the state champs. But that's a story that's years later.
The Point?
Restraint.
By having a little you can always be a champ. (Or at least be able to feed yourself.)With the video games I grew up with, anyone could win if they pumped allot of money into it. The Looser's that did this? Who knows what happened to them? No one cares about old news. But if I never learned restraint when I was young I never would have "unplugged" and lived good. Having a life to tend to is better than being the best at something unimportant.
At least I think so.
So who's the next looser?

Good Luck To All.
Peace.

Here is a simple definition of being a loser :
A loser is someone who is unsuccessful at somenthing.
So,basically, you can be a winner on the arcade, but you may actually be a loser if you think you're the "true champion".You are a winner if you know when to lose, but if you can't accept your loss, then you're just another loser. If you lose in real life,it's all over.So make sure that your "virtual loss" doesn't become a "real loss".Don't gamble your life over games, and don't get cocky simply because you're the best. There is no absolute winner, and if you're losing a lot, then you will have to learn to improve.Losing at games is somenthing that you're going to have to live with if you're looking forward to being a gamer. So,basically, keep a cool head, and never,EVER compare games to real life.Do not try to fly like Superman,do not try to eat mushrooms like Mario,do not try to be a hero like Link. All those characters are fictional. If you can accept this truth, then you are a winner, and if you enjoy gaming, then you're a "true champion".

My Previous Entry were my famous losses.
My current one is "Soul Calibur 4"'s "Tower of Lost Souls." (Ascending.)
I'm stuck on "Floor 57-59." Eventually I'll get to and beyond floor 60. (Hope that's all the floors this thing has. I don't think I have the will to endure and "Descend" (Alternate Option.) 60 Floors of that "Onslaught." A few floors back, I had issues with a chick in gold armour that used "Taki's" fighting style and "Nuked" every character creation I threw at her. Eventually I earned the Leviathan and Voodoo Armours. But those still, barely dented the Thing. Eventually I got good at playing and figured out how to gain advantage by skill and statistic altering armour combos. Now I'm getting Thwarted by a "Mitsurigi" ...(Ghost. I guess. ... Its what he looks like.) In "Floor 58." I'll eventually figure it out, but man it is humbling. How about the rest of you? what's your current "Level" or "Boss" Hangup? (Note: I'm Uncertain if this section of Soul Calibur 4 is Famous. I just have a hunch. I play this thing to go to sleep to. The music got very sleep inducing since part 2 came out. I wonder how people stayed awake long enough to make such wonderful creations in the character creator section. I discovered a good trick to by the way. Make five alternate creations for the lone model you want to make. Test them and see if they are "Comfy". Then eliminate the three or four that are inadequate. But that's way off topic.)
How about it folks?
Where are you people stuck at? Or who are you stuck on?
That's Me. I'm Done. Sick A Fork In Me.
Peace.

Hm,being stuck in video-games is a painful experience, isn't it? I could mention many games in which i got stuck, but the one that probably took-me the most amount of time to un-stuck is Prinny 2 : Dawn of Operation Panties, dood! ...that game is devil itself. You have many and many and many lifes, but it is really easy to die in this game.I got stuck after that giant boss attacked the Overlord's castle. You know, the one that seems like a giant summoned woman?Well, that thing is completely overkill. And if you die,you have to do it all over again.Apparently, this is not the first time this will happen,as i have seen in videos that bosses such as Etna are also giant and super deadly. My problem,is that i'm playing on the hardest difficulty available,so one hit,and it's all over. The bosses tend to have insane amounts of life, and you can generally only attack while you are standing still. It's just like a fight between an ant and a God of War.Your attention span has to be really high,or else you die in a question of seconds,or you can even die before you are able to deliver the finishing blow to your opponent. Many bosses have backup attack plans when they are cornered, and the stages are painfully,suicide-inducingly hard.Even if you memorize the stages, the game is friggin unpredictable.Sometimes, you might be able to pass through, and sometimes,it's a 100% rate of failure, even if you play your best, like a "true champion".You may have played a lot of games, but, this game is by far the hardest game ever in video-game history. If you can make it to the end on the hardest difficulty,then...either you cheated,or you are god.Watch videos of it on youtube. You can almost feel the pain of the person playing the game. That's just the kind of pain i have to fear every day when i turn on Prinny 2.It is not a bad game,it is just overly challenging,to the point a person might just destroy the console for not being able to complete the first stage.

In the year or so I've been gone I was playing world of warcraft, intensely. I was a hardcore raider and pvper. And as such I have had a few epic fails. One major one was Wiping on heroic Madness of Deathwing, the final boss in the Dragon Soul raid, which was the final raid in the Cataclysm expansion, at 1%, 5 times in a row. As for pvp wise... I was doing a rated battle ground, and we had one win left to become a high ranked team, and I usually play with a mouse, but I forgot my mouse at home... and we lost the one bg I was in, so I had to leave the group, and lost my rating.
