Hey, guys! This is my review of Super Mario 64 - Retro Graphics. This game is a really good texture hack of Super Mario 64. I really think it should be called "Super Mario Bros. 64".
Graphics: 9
I rate the graphics really high because pretty much everything, even some of the course paintings, are Super Mario Bros. style. How awesome is that?
Sound: 6
None of the sound in this game was changed. I would've rated the sound higher if there was actual music from Super Mario Bros. in this game. The reason I rated it a 6 is because I really like the original sound from Super Mario 64.
Addictiveness: 8
This game is really addicting because there are a lot of cool tricks you can do in this game, like wall-jumps, back-flips, and triple-jumping. There's also over 15 courses and 120 stars to get. That's a lot if you ask me and it will definitely take a while to get all of those stars.
Story: 6
The story is the same as it is in almost every other Super Mario game. Princess Peach gets kidnapped by an evil villain named Bowser (also known as King Koopa), and Mario has to rescue her to save the kingdom. It's still a good story, though.
Depth: 8
Like I mentioned earlier, this game has a lot to offer. It's fun trying to get all 120 stars and performing lots of awesome moves.
Difficulty: 7
The game isn't really that hard. Occasionally, there are a few challenging and frustrating things in this game (believe me, I know), but it gets easy once you're used to it.
Overall: 8
This game is really fun, there's a lot to offer, and I just want to play this game again and again. I think the creator of this game did a spectacular job making Super Mario 64 look like Super Mario Bros. If you like Super Mario 64, you like Super Mario Bros or you just like old games being remade into something new, play this game right now. If you don't, you might miss out on everything this game has to offer.
