Bioshock, one of the best games that I have played in a while. To best explain what how I felt when I played this game can only be one word terrified. First I want to say it was not at all what I expected, I didn't expect to like a first person shooter as much as this game. Don't get me wrong I do like FPS's but not as much as I should, but this game was a different experience for me. This game is like an intense roller coaster ride when you think you are at the end of a stage and that nothing is going to pop up to attempt to kill you think again. There is almost always something around the corner and survival becomes harder and harder.

Basic objective of the game, your plane crashes and you stumble upon this strange elevator pod device which leads you to an underwater city created by a man, Andrew Ryan, who affectionately named the city Rapture. However, Rapture did not turn into a prosperous place but instead a horror filled nightmare of creatures known as Splicers, who will try to kill you off as soon as they spot you. As you enter Rapture a man named Atlas will talk to you through radio and will send you on your missions as you try to save his family, and yourself. Now that was just a brief summary of the story, which I think is very interesting and different and for that I rated the story a perfect 10.

Now when it came to the graphics I rated the game a 9, they where very good almost amazing. There where however a few small bugs in the graphics such as dead Splicers still moving random parts of their bodies etc. But that is not that bad, I mean even most if not all Call of Duty games have this bug. When it came to the sound though, another 10 had been placed. The sounds this game make will terrify you completely, you will randomly hear the Splicers talking to themselves or killing one another, saying some freaky stuff. Like the man who randomly sings to himself "Jesus loves me, this I know...for the bible tells me so..." Yeah, tell me that is not scary.

I'm just going to outright say that I am hooked and addicted completely to this game, once I finish this review I'm more than likely going to go play it. But because of this I rated the addictiveness and the depth a 10, the game is absolutely amazing. It has those moments of scary uncertainty and a great story to follow. The game is also really long and has a million different items not to mention weapons, plasmids and tonics to collect as well as items you will need to create. The game just has so much to offer to the player, sometimes to becomes difficult to make a choice on what type of Plasmids you want or what to spend your money on at one of the vending machines located throughout the game. And that can bring me into my next rating, difficulty. I rated this a 7. The game was pretty hard when I first started. Once you get used to which button does what and how your Plasmids work then the game becomes a little easier, but then you still have to deal with big enemies like Rosie's or Big Daddy's which take more than a couple of shots to kill. Also, it is very easy to get lost in Rapture. Occasionally Atlas will help you out and tell you where you need to go, or if the game knows you are confused it will randomly display a compass to show you on the correct path.

Well this has been my first Xbox 360 review, I hope that you all enjoyed it and will enjoy this game as much as I do. Try not to let it scare you that much though. For a FPS this game sure did take a different route, and I think it is for the better. I am kind of hoping that this game will spawn a new type of it's kind, a horror FPS genre would be great for players like myself. And for anyone who is even remotely interested I highly recommend this game.
