GAMEPLAY A: The gameplay for Super Mario World is as good if not better then the NES Mario games. The controls are fluid and responsive. Plus there's a few new things added that were not in the previous games. One thing that is the most obvious is the ability to ride on Yoshi. I never cared for it because one you get hit Yoshi runs away and won't stop for a cliff. He just kills himself. XD There's also more secrets in the game. Secrets like alternative routes that will blow your mind.

GRAPHICS B+: This game has smooth graphics with some impressive scaling effects. However the reason why I rated it a B+. Is because the god awful amount of slow down. It starts right when there's more than about 6-8 objects on a screen at one. I understand what kind of processor Nintendo used for the SNES. This processor can display sharper graphics than the Genesis. There was one major drawback however, and that was how slow the processor was. The Sega Genesis had a faster but weaker processor. That is why this game has so much slow down. Another minor thing is the simple backgrounds I would have expected some more detailed backgrounds.

SOUND A+: The music in this game is wonderful. I like how clear it sounds and how advanced it is. This game certainly shows off the SNES'es sound capabilites.

ADDICTIVENESS A: The amount of secrets in this game give this game some large replay value. You'll be playing this game for hours. I enjoyed every minute I played this game.

DEPTH A+: Over 90 freaking levels! What a huge game, I sure that if anybody saw this back in the day they would have been amazed by its large depth. There's plenty of fun to be had. This game was so large that it had a saving system.

DIFFICULTY MEDIUM HARD: I never got very good at Mario games, but in general the difficulty is balanced. There are a few parts you can call "unfair" but really the game is quite balanced when it comes to difficulty.

OVERALL RATING A

Tips
1. The red level markers mean there's 2 or more different exits and the yellow level markers mean that there.s only one.
2. At the end of the level try to hit the white tape because you get special points for a bonus stage.
