Demon Attack is your typical alien shooter. You are a little space ship shooting waves of.... demons? Does Imagic seriously call the enemies demons. They look more like aliens to me.  Despite the misconception, Demon Attack is actually a very fun and exciting game. Playing it on my Atari 2600 that I just got only makes it better.

GAMEPLAY A-: The gameplay is definitely far superior to other alien shooters at the time. There's fewer "demons" on the screen. However they move faster and shoot more rapidly. Each demon gets stronger and stronger after every wave. Pretty soon the demons will multiply into smaller ones.

GRAPHICS B-: The graphics are nothing major, but the demons are rendered in multiple colors. Then when you lose all your lives. The bottom of the screen turns real colorful.

SOUND B: The sound effects are just amazing. There's no music but there's a little bit of a tune when you gain an extra life.

ADDICTIVENESS A: The game is very addicting, I find myself playing this game alot.

DEPTH A+: There are a remarkable 84 waves of demons. They change abilities every few waves and the depth is so huge that you will just want to keep playing.

DIFFICULTY MEDIUM: The difficulty is quite balanced. I never had any "unfair" moments with this game.

OVERALL RATING A-

Tips

1: Try to shoot the demons on the top of the screen first. Trust me the farther you get into the game the more helpful this technique is.
2: You earn an extra life if you survive a wave without losing a life. So try to not lose any lives in the first bunch of waves. Your going to need them later.
