One of my friends in one of my college courses just ran into an issue. She was playing one of the Fire Emblem games in the RGR. She made it through 3 or 4 levels, so she decided to register so she could save.

Here's the problem. After she registered and logged in, she couldn't save. Even though she logged in, the game window didn't acknowledge it so she couldn't save. Is there any way to adjust the plugin (or whatever needs adjusting) so that a user who is playing a game as a guest can register in order to save? It's kind of a pain when you play a game for an hour or two, decide you like it, register so you can save it, then find out you can't save it without closing the window and restarting from the beginning.

I ran into this same issue when I first found the site. I played a game for about an hour and then read that members can save. I registered and logged in, but it wasn't reflected in the game window, obviously.

This may not be something that's possible to do since a window can't find new information without refreshing. If the window were to refresh, the game would just reset. I'm not sure how you could work around this without some extremely complicated coding that builds a login directly into the emulator and then can enable the member features without interfering with the game at all. Not even sure this is a thing that can be done.

I never really thought about that, but I can see how that can be quite an issue for users who just find the site. I honestly do no know what the odds are of changing this. I'm not very savvy with web design, so I wouldn't even begin to know how to do this. There seems to be more than one aspect behind this. Saving isn't suppose to even be an option for guests actually (an incentive to register is the ability to save). The fact that guests are able to save is a bug. What happens when they save as a guest is that the save files get stored in a folder with the id of 0 but when you're logged in, your save files get stored into a folder based on your user id so that means you can't retrieve those save files as a user if you made them as a guest.

You could solve the issue but its some work,  for very little reason.  I had same problem,  but I viewed it as my fault as it does say non-registered players cannot save,  so I simply took it as a fun 2 hours that I get to do again;  of course not as fun second time around.
