Pac Man is one of those games that everyone knows about, even if you aren't really a gamer.  From the franchise's original release in the nineteen eighties, to the present day with the 3DS version out.  If you are unaware what happens in a Pac Man game, you need to know that you are a little ball with a mouth that runs from ghosts and tries to collect as many balls as it can.  There are also four special balls per level that allow you to eat the ghosts and gain more points.  The basis of the game is to score the most points, which is usually the best part of any game.

Graphics 7:  Now, lets be honest here, and compare the graphics to tetris.  Tetris has horrible graphics on this system, while I like the graphics on this game because you can actually tell what you are doing.  I like how the ghosts actually look like what "ghosts" look like in the cartoon world, and that there aren't really any blocks in the game.

Sound 7:  The sound in this game aren't really that bad, and are definitely better than other games on the system.  I like how the sounds differ from when you aren't grabbing balls, to when you are grabbing balls, and whenever you have the special ball that you have just eaten.

Addictiveness 10:  Pac Man is one of those games that you can play and play again without getting bored.  The thrill of trying to get a high score definitely increases how much longer you can play the game at a time.

Story :  In this particular Pac Man, there is no story.  In some of the other games there is a "story", but not in the one for the Game Boy.

Depth 10:  This game is actually very deep, even though it may seem like there isn't much to do.  This is probably because you have only reached the fifth or sixth level, and can't get past that at all.  But, if you were able to play through the whole game without dying, you would encounter 255 levels for your enjoyment.  This makes the game harder and almost impossible to beat, making it really deep.

Difficulty 5:  Pac Man isn't really a hard game, but I had trouble with this game because of the D-Pad system.  Not only does the D-Pad system make it hard, but the amount of levels that are in the game also make it hard to fully beat the game.

Overall 7.8:  This is a very good game for anyone to play, whether you are a really good gamer, or just someone who likes to occasionally pick up classic games.  Not only is this game almost identical to the arcade version of the game, but it is portable, so if you had a Game Boy, you could take it on a trip.  Any gamer who has heard of the Pac Man series has to play one of the games in the series, just because it is such a quality series.

The little balls are pac dots and the big ones are power pellets but whatever I'm just being picky. Anyways nice review, you were really good at rating each section and that can get tricky sometimes.

Pacman will always be a classic in my eyes. I loved to play this game on long road trips, the only pity was that every time that you turn off the system the high score goes back to 0! The latter levels can be very hardcore and full of frustration if you are not a pro player. And there is one difference between the original arcade version and this port. The dots just above the ghost house are not there and there is no way to tell the difference between the ghosts either.

Great review! Keep up the good work!

mlb789 : I wanna play this version of Pac Man some time soon because I have played the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) version and the original Arcade version and there are ok for a Classic. You have done a great Review because you have concentrated on each section.

Great Review, mlb!

I never tried this version, sounds very interesting... More than the NES version!

Keep the good work.
