Thats cool pray75, gyarados is awesome, and the only way to ever get super rare shiny pokemon is to really devote yourself and search in tall grasses an caves to get them. You will go through countless regular pokemon before finding a rare shiny, so never come unprepared, a shiny pokemon can be so unpredictable, so always have a pokeball, or ultra ball so they don't get away! I always go looking for shiny ones whenever I beat the game, or Ifind them at random when I am training for either the gym or the elite 4. Always be prepared and take an extra poke ball, don't miss your chance to get an awesome shiny pokemon!

OMG for the longest time of playing pokemon and NEVER finding a shiny pokemon i got pissed off. One day i was playing pokemon fire red alt evo's and i found a shiny taillow. I was so happy i freaked out and posted a bunch of crap that i am now ashamed of . Anyway it was a great moment.

I thought "I'm so smart... Knowing exactly what to do in a situation like that." Later that day my friend explained to me what a shiny Pokémon is and cried... A lot... For a really long time... The first shiny I caught was a pidgey in fire red. I was training my starter (squirtle, of course)

I finally remember what my first shiny Pokémon was. I believe it was a Bronzor in platinum. Sadly, I never encountered one in the earlier games I played except in sapphire, later on from the Bronzor, I caught a shiny Linoone.

When I'm playing pokemon crystal I see a shiny machoke instead of color red it's color blue, but I didn't catch it at all, but I think it is considered as one of my shiny pokemon because I never see one now. hehehe

I believe my first one was Cleffa from hatching it from the egg the Daycare man gives you in Silver. At that time I did not know about shinies and did not recognized Cleffa as a shiny (more like I thought my eyesight was going wacky and misinterpreting the slight color difference). The first one I recognized as a shiny was Butterfree (On Silver) due to it's obvious coloring difference and I'm pretty sure I came across and caught it during the Bug Catching Contest. I don't recall if I won that contest or not with that Butterfree.

I have never gotten my hands on a shiny Pokemon because quite frankly, I don't know how to get one.  I did happen to have an action replay for my DS so I was able to acquire a couple on Pokemon Pearl though.  I think I first got Shiny Gyarados, which is the red one I do believe.

My first legit shiny(with out action reply or game shark hacking or trade) was a Ferrow, it was green with a golden beak, and claws. And it was random it happened in my Pokémon Diamond game, I was walking around the route to the upper left of battle tower and it just appeared. I think they appear at random and there is no certain way of getting a shiny.

I started the game and Picked Chimchar as starter. (You know )
Then my Chimchar was shiny, I thought this was very normal, but it wasn't.
Than my first wild battle, was a starly... SHINY.
I didn't have any pokéballs (-.-)
But that was very cool! 
My first shiny in platinum was bidoof,
and SS Gyarados, or doesn´t gyarados count?
I never have seen a shiny in White and Black2
