Super Mario War is a 100% free fighting game made by Florian Hufsky where up to 4 players can stomp on their enemies or use a variety of items to crush the competition like bullet bill, fire flower, hammer, etc.  Plus there's different game modes to make it more fun.

Some of the modes are:  Classic, the original game mode where you have a set amount of lives and try to drop all the others to 0.  King of the hill,  a box appears in random locations and players have to be inside without anyone else to earn points.  There's more modes but the last I want to share is Phanto Chase:  Remember in SMB2 that when you get a key, a mask enemy chases you?  Well in this mode you get grab a key and avoid getting hit by phantos and other enemies to earn points to a certain winning cap.  There's descriptions of the modes in the readme_new in the folder if you need help understanding. 

And there's different game types that you can do in the game like single match, tourney, tour and a very cool one, world mode in which you travel SMB3 style to preset battles to get the most points possible to the end of the world. There's toad houses to win items to use on map and in battle.  Items can also be won as prizes after battles depending on the place you are in. 

You can even make your own battle maps and world maps to show your own style through the 2 editors:  Level Editor and World Editor.  But sadly, I'm not sure when the next version of this will come.  The link to the main game is http://smwfs.webs.com/ and you need winrar or a .rar extraction program to get the file.  if you want to add more to your game or to show off your creations to the world, use this link http://smwstuff.supersanctuary.net/list.php and the files are going to be in .zip so yea winrar or something else.  So if you do get this game, please also pay some respect to Florian Hufsky who is no longer living in this world.  God bless you Florian for bring us this great game.
