All Sega genesis games appear as a black screen to me, but music still plays and I can navigate invisible menus, why? I have the plug in!

I'm no expert towards the Retro Game Room but I do know using Google Chrome works best for all consoles/games. Try using Chrome if you haven't already..

joeandson : This probably has something to do with your video card/display settings. Some users have this problem. You can try updating your firmware on your video card to the most current version and see if that works, or you can change your display settings to 16 bit manually when you play Genesis games. Some users have this problem and I haven't quite figured out why.

To fix this you'll set your monitor to 16 bit:

Windows 7 (Category View)

Windows Vista (Classic View)

Windows XP

One of those links will have the instruction for your operating system.

Let me know if you still have issues after this.

The NES version of Ghostbusters seems to be having a problem with the ROM itself. I will talk with tRIUNE about getting this fixed. This issue isn't isolated to just you.
