Aye Caramba! Here we go again!

Once again... Another Simpsons game for a Nintendo system... Guess what? Is made by Acclaim! Wanna know another thing? Bart is the main character!... Well, I bet you know what to except of this game: High Difficulty, Hard to learn controls, Quite awful music... Etc. At least this game is nearly decent as "Bart Vs. The Juggernauts"? Sadly, No, it's not... It only becomes enjoyable once you can domain it. But, if you have some interest on this game or his gameplay, then, sit there and read this review of: "Bart Vs. The World" for the Nintendo Entertainment System (better known as NES)

Story: "Krusty's show is about to start!" that's, perhaps, what many kids on Springfield said that day... The today's episode wasn't a normal episode, because, some days ago... The show made a contest, an Art contest!. This contest was sponsored by the Springfield's Nuclear Happiness Power plant. Today, the results of the same were about to be revealed... There were many excellent submissions... But, guess who won the contest? Yup, Bart Simpson! ("What?! But, his drawing is really awful!" is what many kids said... And they were right, Bart's drawing was kinda bad...) the prize: A travel through the world! However, something suspicious was going on here... Mr. Burns, the owner of the Nuclear plant, planned the Art contest thing w
ith one objective: Get rid of the Simpsons... Yeah, get rid of the whole family... At China, the 1st. Stop of the travel, the Simpsons are kidnapped and separated... But, Bart manages to escape... Now, he's the only hope of the family, he must travel through the other countries to rescue them, before Burns (and his kinfolk) end with them. (6/10)

Graphics: Here's the 1st. Bad of the game: The graphics, just look at them: Bart is easily recognizable... Just because he's the main character... The rest, looks really bad... The game doesn't even have decent animations! Just make Bart jump in the water of the Junk level at China, he just sinks like if he were sinking on Quick sands! (5/10)

Sound: Music is one of the few good things that the game has (in my opinion) the show's theme is an example. It's easy to recognize... Well, the music of all the stages is a remix of the main theme... At least those are good and quite enjoyable. SFX is nothing new, is the same of all the other Simpson games... (6/10)

Addictiveness: If you have played the other Simpson games made by acclaim, you know what to except here... The game lacks of addictiveness, because of his controls and difficulty. (5/10)

Depth: Well, if I'm not mistaken... This game has 5 stages (one of them, is hidden) there are different kind of challenges through the countries, the platform stages are the ones you must play to unlock the boss (there aren't two similar bosses, everyone has it's own attacks and ways to defeat it) but, there are different challenges, such as puzzles, card games, etc... On those, you can earn some lives and Krusty heads (which are for score) also, on every country, there's a member of the Simpson family... If we find it, it will give us a "Krusty Item"... If we grab them all, we'll unlock the secret stage and the Good Ending. At least, this game has a good depth. (7/10)

Difficulty: High as well... Mostly, because of the controls. Just look: To run, you must keep pressed the button A... Yes, the jump button... That will make Bart jump and then Run, so, you can imagine how tricky is jump over a large pit... Stages are another of the main reason of the high difficulty. Some have traps that are really difficult to avoid... (8/10)

Final Rating: 5.8

Oh, Acclaim... You've made it again, This game could have been a lot better. But, instead... We got this, a try of game... However, at least it has two or three good things on it, So, if you REALLY want to see those things, play this game... You could find some other good things besides the one I said here...
