Tetris was released in 1989 as a pack in for the Game Boy. It sold around 35 million copies and I understand why it's popular. It sort of surprises me how such few people play this game on Vizzed, because you can have some serious fun with this game. A good song and some quick puzzle action, make this game a joy to play. So here it is, the legendary Tetris.

GRAPHICS: The graphics are simple. They don't need to be advanced. The blocks have different shades of black and white and grey. Unlike separate colors in newer games. So it's just blocks basically. No extras no backgrounds. Just a basic rectangle and some blocks.

SOUND: I think the sound fits in the game quite well. It's just right for a type of game like this. I like the catchy songs that will get stuck in my head. I like simple various beeps throughout the game. What people don't get, is that some games are better off simple then complex. There have been many attempts to add a bunch of features to Tetris. One of those is Tetris Party which is a fairly good game, but there's nothing like the music in the original Game Boy version of Tetris.

ADDICTIVENESS: It really depends on what you are feeling like playing. Sometimes the game is very boring and sometimes the game is very fun and addicting. It just depends on what mood your in.

DEPTH: I wouldn't say this game has a ton to offer, but it has just enough to satisfy me. There are 2 game modes. Mode A is like the original Tetris, and mode B is where you start out with a bunch of broken up blocks, and your goal is to get rid of them by making lines and destroying the broken up blocks, after that the gameplay continues. There are 3 different songs. Each with a different feel to it, then there are plenty of difficulty levels to test anyone's limits.

DIFFICULTY: The first few difficulty levels are easy but as you start to get in the more harder levels it gets very hard.

Well I agree that it depends on what mood you are in. Sometimes I could play for an hour on this game and other times I just want to put in Super Mario Land. You summed up the game very well and Tetris will always be around on smart phones and I pads.

Tetris is a fun game to play when you are really bored, but it can get a little boring after a few rounds. Anyway great review, and can't wait for the next game review. Also I expect great work on your next one too.

Very good review for a game that isn't even that deep! I like Tetris on the Game Boy, isn't that the highest selling version of the game? :O It just goes to show how powerful the pack-in game is.
