Sonic Chaos was released for the Sega Game Gear and Master System in 1993. I will tell that this game is what the previous Sonic 8-bit titles should have been. So that probably gives you the idea that Sonic Chaos is better then the previous 8-bit Sonic titles.

GRAPHICS: Sonic Chaos gives a major boost in the graphics department then the previous titles. There are more detailed levels and designs and the characters look a lot better then the previous titles. There is one problem with the graphics. There are a lot of blind jumps making huge leaps quite hard to see.

SOUND: The soundtrack for this game is probably the most energetic and complex you will hear for the Sonic Game Gear series. The sound effects are very high pitched which can get a little annoying over time.

ADDICTIVENESS: Sonic Chaos can get quite addicting. About as addicting as the previous Sonic 16-bit series.

DEPTH: There's 2 characters and 5 zones with 3 acts in each of them which means there's not much to offer.

DIFFICULTY: Sonic Chaos is not very hard but getting past the confusing special stages and getting into them is quite hard.

Nice review.I always enjoyed Sonic Chaos.It was the Game gear game I played the most especially in Sonic Mega Collection.But I have to question why don't you put an overall rating in your reviews.I just want to know that.Anyway nice review!

Sonic Chaos is pretty interesting. Sonic in 8 bit is a bit off the rocker since I'm use to Sonic games in 16 bit or better. I'm not saying its bad, its pretty good. I enjoy messing around with it.
