Nuts & Milk Review

I remember playing this game with my brother, we laughed at the sounds effects of the game, like when Milk is falling from high altitude, we tried to imitate the sounds, I really liked those times.

The first time I ever played this game, was when my father purchased a NES CD emulator for me, I didn't knew how to read, but I ended up finding this game, and I liked to play this game a lot, but it seems that a long time of not seeing this game, didn't made me lose my skills on this game.

The story of the game is, you are a... uh... what is that? Looks like a toy car or something when sideways, oh whatever, you are trying to save your girlfriend that is probably trapped or waiting for you or something on the house located on the upper left corner of the screen.
In order to get your girl, you need to get all the fruits around the stage, while avoiding your rival, Nuts, who is the cyan thing with yellow uhh... tires?

On certain stages, nuts will enter a bonus stage. On these bonus stages, Nuts don't show up, but, Milk is still not safe from danger, Milk must make his way to his girlfriend, while avoiding the fireballs that appear on the Mario Bros game (the game that you have to hit  the platform from below to make the enemy turn upside down so you can kick it out of the game), collecting the fruits that move up and down, and avoiding falling down to the water, if any of these things happen, you lose, you will just continue the game normally.
If you manage to reach Milk's girlfriend (note that is not required for you to get the fruits), you receive the amount of score showing inside the platform Milk's girlfriend is, and you receive an extra life.

On some of the normal stages, you may find springs, use them to jump higher, to jump higher simply press the jump button at the moment you are about to make a small jump on the spring (walking into it don't activate the spring, it only work when someone jumps at it), you are required to master using the spring, since on certain levels you need to know how to use it to proceed on the game.
The game have 60 stages, once you finish them all, it returns back to stage 1, so the game is endless.
There is also a game mode B to play, the game is just like the mode A, but this time, flying objects comes from the sides, from the left comes a red balloon with a dynamite, touching this balloon kills Milk; And from the right comes a yellow helicopter, touching this helicopter gives you 500 points.

I'll now give the ratings of this game:

Graphics: 7
I don't think the graphic look bad, the expression the characters does when they die, looks funny, their faces are like O.o , as far as I've noticed, I didn't seen any square tips on the characters, but the way the dynamite on the balloon looks, it takes a little to see it is a dynamite, for graphics I give this game a 7.

Sound 6
When I'm playing this on high volume while jumping over Nuts, my mother comes and says "Lower this volume! This sound is annoying!", and I have to agree, the sounds are VERY annoying when repetitive, I would give this an 5, but just because of the funny sound it does when Milk is falling from a high altitude, I'm increasing this rate to 6.

Addictiveness: 7
When I start playing this game, I want to continue playing until I get a game over, after that I want to stop playing, and then I play again on another day. I'm giving this a 7.

Story: I think I don't know how to rate the Story section of the reviews.
You are a thing making your way to save your girlfriend, while avoiding you rival nuts, I guess I don't know how to rate the story section.

Depth: 6
Sure, there are 60 levels, some of them hard, but for me, there is not really much of different things to do on this game, after beating the 60th level it starts all over again, I'm giving a rate of Depth of 6.

Difficulty: 7
Well, there are a few hard levels, and sometimes, when on the spring, on one moment you must not fall otherwise you die, you may miss the timing to press the jump button, making you fall to Milk's death, I think a good rate for this is a 7.

Combining Everything: Overall rating: 6.6
This is a game that can good to be played a few times, maybe after you beat the level 60 you may lose interest on this game, having a game over in this game will probably make you lose interest on it for the rest of the day, the sounds can be pretty annoying, making your loss of interest come quicker.
I think the rating of 6.6 is fair for this game.

I think that this game is kind a weird and all, but I liked to play that game, this is one of the games that I played very well on my childhood.
But I still don't know what kind of creature is Nuts and Milk '-'

Being fast does grant you more bonus points like Donkey Kong. However, the A.I. programming for the Nuts is very reminiscent to the enemies in Wrecking Crew (NES) as you have to avoid them with similar strategies.
