Reputation. Cash. The blacklist. All this and a whole lot more is out the in Need for Speed Most Wanted. Just like most Need for Speed games, it starts off slow, but it readily picks up as the game moves on. You earn Cash in each race (which can sometimes be infested by the police) so you roll up some dough that way, making your car look all pretty. You also earn free cars sometimes by beating Blacklist racers and winning their pinkslips.
You also have to make your bounty. Bounty is essential in this game to advance. The best way to make bounty? Pursuits. You wind through the game being chased by the police in SUV's, choppers, and even Corvettes as the madness gets hotter and hotter. My favorite part about this game hands down is the chases.
One thing they DID tone down in this game was the customization of cars, which did bum me out and probably a lot of other Need for Speed fanboys as well. Rather than beef up the customizing, they took it down a peg, which did make me a little depressed.
All in all, Need for Speed Most Wanted is a great play, although the race difficulty was way too easy early on. I don't think I lost a single race until Blacklist four or five, which is ridiculous, but the replay value is top notch thanks to the rather large map. So pick up a copy and play today. Or don't. But it IS a great game....
