This is a very interesting question in my opinion because I have tried smoking and drinking before. I hate smokes they are so nasty the taste stayed in my mouth for the rest of that day no matter how much I drank or ate .. it wouldn't leave my mouth. Drinking I have tried many drinks but I only like some kinds of drinks like wine coolers and wine mainly... but I guess if I had to pick it would be drinking.

If faced with this catch-22, I'd pick drinking. I'd drink a lot of red-wine for it's health benefits. After seeing what my history teacher went through who died this year from a heart attack from smoking too much, I couldn't ever smoke.

I would choose drinking as smoking leads to all sorts of diseases whereas with drinking, the only deadly disease you are most likely to get is cirrhosis of the liver which is what many drinkers die of.

I wouldn't do both but if I have to choose, I choose drinking.
I don't like the smell from cigarettes and if you ever have seen a smoker his face, teeth and lungs you know enough (shivers).

I would rather be a belligerent drunk than be a smoker. At least being a drunk would be fun! With smoking you really don't get anything but being drunk is just fun so yea, I'd take up drinking as my bad habit.

As someone who smokes and drinks I have an interesting take on this.  Alcohol can completely ruin your life or it can be a fun activities during games and whatnot.  Whether the alcohol gets abused or not depends on the person like how well they deal with the stuff. On the other hand you have some people some upwards of 3 packs a day (I smoke about a half pack a day), anyways, that much smoking is what really cauzes the serious health problems and they are more likely to happen sooner too. So I think depending on certain personalities that tell which drug they are more able to handle or some kind of personality quiz or sompin.  

As for myself I wish I could quit smoking and wish I had never started.  Even though I drink as well it doesn't screw up my life, I am able to control that drug well and with responsibility, so I would pick the drinking one.

I don't do neither both are terrible habits. But if I ever had to chose one it would be drinking. Because it doesn't say how much to drink. Having a tiny glass is not so bad. But as I said both are pretty bad habits so I avoid both of them

As someone who has spent 21 years inhaling smoke and had some alcoholic beverages, I think if I were ever to become one, I'd be an alcoholic.  Give me some Coke and Crown Royal and I will be all set destroying my liver, rather than cough all the time.  The only problem is, Smoking cost less usually, so if you were on a tight budget and had to choose, well there you go.

Don't do either though, instead of wasting your money on that pay Dave with that donation button :p waste money on things that matter!

Drinking, we drink every Friday night so it's an easier habit to take up. Not to mention smoking cigarettes is nasty, I've tried it and stopped immediately. They smell gross, they taste gross, and they are full of toxins.

I would choose drinking. Drinking isn't necessarily as damaging to your body as smoking is. Trust me, both of my parents smoke, and i've seen what it's done to them so far. Additionaly, my grandad smoked. He died at 50.
