And then other times, they leave a note on the note, saying they put it behind a bush or something. 

I am glad they do not leave it out in the open, because I have had boxes stolen before, which sucks.

i got a christmas card that was slightly larger than the postage stamp that was bought allowed for so they left a note at my house.
I had to go to the depot to pick it up, and they made me pay the full postage despite the fact most of it was covered already by the previous stamp.

I don't know if i understand the point. But surely you would rather have a 15 minute drive or walk than to find out that whatever you have ordered had been stolen for good?

I mean when you are ordering things worth upwards of $50 surely a small portion of you doing nothing but sitting on your backside can go to waste?

Strangely where I live they just leave it on the door step... Some times they will do that even if it's raining.
