Played the PS2 version and I can say this much: Night stages suck, a lot. Day stages are fine, not of SA1 or SA2 quality but fun enough. Story and loading and such sucks. And everything else sucks.

This game ain't worth it.

The game was getting trashed, pretty much all around by other people I've seen post and critics... but playing the demo on 360 wasn't exactly a bad experience, I was quite enjoying myself.. I've only seen the Werehog gameplay and yeah, it doesn't look amazing.. but it's a step in the right direction... the previews for the new game don't look all that amazing, but the series that it's a part of is more geared towards children I think... I wouldn't put anything against it for that.

I don't think the game is terrible, but I do agree that they focused too much on the Werehog aspect. The only thing I like in the Werehog levels are the parts where you fight the dark spawn and the bosses. The speed levels, however, are very cool.

Overall I think it's a pretty cool game. I STILL don't get why the 3D games are bombed by fans, I don't see what's so terrible about them. I think Sonic '06 is an awesome game.

Everyone dislikes the night-time stages because of the un-fun playing of Sonic the Werehog. However people are overwhelmed by the daytime stages. So I think SEGA should make a sonic game like Sonic Unleashed but with-out the Werehog. It could be hailed as the best 3D Sonic game ever. Playing Super-Sonic at the end brings back memories.
Sonic adventure 2, which was epic, had all the standards that a Sonic game needs as did Sonic Heroes.

yeah that's defiently true. while it did lack the quality sonic adventure 2 had, it was still enjoyable. maybe if they spent longer working on it, it could've been alot better.
