Wolfos Moon Signup Thread

This is a Werewolf game based on Legend of Zelda. Werewolf games were inspired from the all-too-familiar Mafia party games. However, the games share one key difference: Instead of the players attempting to chip away at the numerous Mafia members, there is only one "Werewolf" that must be killed. HOWEVER, in this game there is a key "Werewolf" on BOTH sides, and those roles are Zelda and Ganondorf. The game ends if either of these players are killed, and victory goes to the surviving allegiance.

There will be alternating Night and Day phases until one side wins. The flow of the game goes a little something like this (mostly through PMs) :

1. All players will be given their roles and dealt items. Ganon will receive 1 item, Groose gets 3 items, and everyone else will receive 2.
2. Night Phase. This phase can last up to 72 hours real-time, or until all Night-ability players have responded. During this phase, the following actions will happen (not all role actions are mandatory, however) :
>>>The player with Ganondorf's role will choose a player and PM me with the decision. That player will die, unless saved by some ability. The death will be announced during the next Day phase.
>>> The player(s) with Rauru's role can PM me with the name of any player whom he/she wants to save. If that player is targeted to be killed, no death will occur.
>>> The Darunia player(s) can PM me two player names. Those two players will be "connected" during the current Night; if one of those players dies, the other will die also.
>>> The Nabooru player(s) can PM me a player name. That player will have a random item stolen from them. The stolen item may also be used immediately as long as the Night phase has not ended yet.
>>> The Impa player(s) can PM me with the name of any player whom they would like to save. If that player is to be killed that Night, the Impa player will die instead.
>>> Any player with an item with an effect that can be activated at Night can simply PM which item they want to use. ALL ITEMS ARE ONE-USE ONLY. The item will then be used.
>>> All abilities or items which allow players to gain items will activate. The item-gaining players will receive a PM stating which item(s) was received.
3. Day Phase. This phase can last up to 48 hours, or until everyone casts a vote. If 48 hours pass, no votes afterward will be counted. During this phase, the following special actions happen:
>>> Any player(s) killed will be announced, which includes their name and role, and how they died. Dead players may feel free to discuss any details of the game with any other player.
>>> If a player was saved, a small story will explain how the role was saved. This may or may not reveal a player's identity.
>>> All players (Hero or Enemy) may deliberate and cast a single vote each over who they believe is Ganon. The player with the most votes will be killed off at the start of the next Night phase, unless saved by some means.
>>> The Saria player(s) can PM me with the name of a player they would like to check out. The Saria player(s) will then receive a PM stating any items or abilities that were used by that player during the last Night phase or, if nothing, the most recent Day phase action (such as with a Groose player, who sleeps at night and acts during Day).
>>> The Groose player(s) can PM me with the name of any player. That player will receive a random item (this will not reveal the identity of either player).
4. Night Phase again.
5. Day Phase again.
6. And so on until somebody wins.

There must be 10+ players to play this game. Items will be decided by die roll, to ensure fairness. No player will know the identity of any other player, with the slight exception of Zelda and Ganon. Roles will be given randomly, with two exceptions.

Exceptions to player roles:
- The Zelda and Ganondorf roles will be assigned first, to random players decided by dice roll.
- The Twinrova role will only be given to one random player, and only if there are 11+ players.
Hero roles will be randomly given to all other players, no matter how many play.

Characters:

-Heroes-

##Light Sage Rauru- A mysterious mediator for the Sages. Can select a player each Night. If that player is supposed to be killed, Rauru saves the player (this action will not reveal the identity of this player).

##Forest Sage Saria- A spiritual Kokiri with a telepathic gift. Can select a player to analyze once each Day. That player's most recent Phase actions will be revealed (usually items and used abilities). Saria must use deductive reasoning to determine the player's allegiance. Saria may also communicate all findings with other players, though this may draw Ganon's attention (since you could possibly expose your identity directly to Ganon without knowing it). The catch? A kill by Ganon and a kill through the Phantom Ganon's Sword item will appear to be the same thing...

##Fire Sage Darunia- A friendly Goron who gives many others the title "Brother." Can select two players every Night. If one of those players is killed, the other also dies. This ability could be used to take another player with you if you die (though this could work vice-versa so be careful) or to narrow down the numbers if there are too many for your taste (gives the chance to kill Ganondorf early so there's another strategy).

##Water Sage Ruto- Fun-loving Zora who always finds ways to get into trouble. If Ruto is targeted to be killed and won't be saved by other means, this player will automatically save itself once per game. This also gives Ruto a random item at that time, but reveals the player's identity to the public.

##Spirit Sage Nabooru- A skilled thief in the Gerudo tribe. Can select a player every Night. A random item is stolen from that player, whether the item is about to be used or not. If the targeted item is in-use, the item will be negated and stolen by Nabooru.

##Shadow Sage Impa- A caretaker who has vowed to protect at any cost. Can select a player each Night. If that player will die that Night, Impa will take the hit and be killed instead. If Zelda is a target, Impa will rescue Zelda regardless of the originally-selected target for this effect (though this may reveal Zelda's identity to Ganon, so there's a downside)

##Handyman Groose- A goofy ex-thug who takes pride in his inventive skills. Player starts out with 3 items, and may select a player each Day (besides self). That player gets a random item.

##Gravedigger Dampé- He's got a scary face, but a big heart. Ironically, this player gets a random item whenever a player dies. Dampé also gets a random item every other Night phase (first Night is skipped).

##Seventh Sage Zelda- The essence of pure innocence, and a true Goddess incarnate. Taps into spiritual energies to receive a random item every other Day (first Day is skipped). This is also the only player who knows the identity of the other 6 Sages. The game is over if this player dies.

-Enemies-

##Ganondorf- The Gerudo King and embodiment of pure evil. Can select one player each Night to be killed. Starts the game with only 1 item, and knows the identity of Twinrova. The game is over if this player dies.

##Twinrova- The fused transformation of witches Koume and Kotake. This player's vote counts twice each Day. Twinrova also may communicate with other players, either convincing them to kill you (thus sparing a potential Ganon death) or giving false info to other players (this could be good or useless depending on what is said, so be cautious).

Items:

There are also 8 items that can be utilized. Two random items will be dealt to each player (with the exception of Ganondorf and Groose) at the start of the game. No player will know the items of any other player unless an ability says otherwise.

##Deku Nut- Risky item which causes a Day or Night death to be determined at random instead of by decision/vote, unless nobody will die when this item is used. In that case, this item does nothing.

##Ball and Chain- Using this item means the item-user's Day vote will be counted twice.

##Whip- Using this item allows the player to select any other player. A randomly-selected item is stolen from that player and given to the user of this item, unless all items are about to be used by that player. In that case, this item does nothing.

##Bomb- Select a player, and the Bomb destroys a randomly selected item, unless an item is about to be used. In that case, the in-use item is negated and destroyed instead.

##Hook Beetle- Select a player. That player will have a randomly selected item taken from them, unless an item is about to be used. In which case, the in-use item is negated and taken instead. The taken item is given to a randomly-selected player.

##Boomerang- Select a player, and this item stuns that player for both a Day and Night Phase. A stunned player cannot use items or vote, but the player's ability can still be used.

##Magic Mirror- The player may select another person besides themselves, during Day or Night proceedings. If the mirror-holder is targeted to die during this phase, the selected player dies instead.

##Phantom Ganon's Sword- The wielding player may select a player at Night to be killed (this action will not reveal the item-user's identity). However, the wielding player will die during the next Night, unless this item is stolen or destroyed by another player.

This game will start in a couple/few weeks, or whenever Signup people slow down/stop Lol. If you've got any questions, just ask! This idea has TONS of room to grow, so if all goes well, it could easily get better!
