There are points scattered around the very end of every first 2 acts. You simply jump around and find them. Normally they're organized into large arcs.  There is one worth 10,000 points and at times offset from the rest. If you time it just right you can turn around and jump through the end screen again collection more points or try to find the 10,000 point bonus if you missed it. Extra 20,000 plus points at the end of every first 2 acts.

Yeah, after the whole Extra Life Glitch was used here to get the biggest score possible, I am gonna have to say that I won't be participating in this or trying :/. It just doesn't really seem worth it putting up with 7 hours worth of torture to win this :/.

Awesome-Kid : Aww, don't worry about it. If I can't (or someone else) doesn't beat your time, don't feel bad. In all honesty, if I find there is an easy way to max out the score, I usually do it as fast as I can, and just not submit it unless someone else finds out about it I was planning on getting my max out score screenshot taken this week as my backup submission anyway. If you do win, you still earn it and be happy But just given how long it takes to do it, I will probably only do this once. If that one submission isn't faster, I'll likely won't be doing another try. Since my wedding is next month, I don't have time to do multiple 6 hour attempts so you will find out later this week where you will likely stand (possibly tomorrow if I find the time).

This is going to be one heck of a blast I haven't played these games in so many years I will really enjoy going back to the good games after so many years.  its funny to because the sonic games were the first and only video games I had ever owned and or played.  I remember playing them on the Sega Genesis.  the only thing that I can remember ever having trouble with was a couple of the buttons on the controller kept getting stuck when I played them.
