I will warn you folks that starwars has shown signs of simply being a bad Mafia player in the past. In Round VI in particular, he blundered big time simply by not doing the obvious safe-action of calling his role and letting it be Researcher-checked, and got himself lynched for it. He was a vanilla bystander at the time, and as such there was no reason to think he would ever have been a Mafia target.

A player such as starwars, who is prone to getting himself lynched rather pointlessly, is probably the most likely candidate to have been given the Fool role, considering Leggy's trollish antics.

Therefore, I suggest you resist the urge to lynch him. A gunman or cannon is free to off him, mind, but as has been brought up, be wary of lynching Fools.

How do you know any of those roles are in the game though?

There is no benefit of a no lynch to us right now as we have a free lynch.

I invite someone to draw some conclusions from today's discussion.

Moonwalking Dead : We know from previous play history that

1) Leggy is prone to putting more than 1 of each role in a game.

2) Leggy tends to do calculated role assignment done purely to throw the players into an unexpected result, such as Round VI's multiples of the same role, Round VII's Mass Loose Cannon Kills, and this Round's... unfortunate Tree role assignment.

I've already been through much of the other points with the_casualty.
As for the "information" in the thread, it pretty much mostly consists of people doing things that all appear to be Fool tells. We have at least one Non-Godfather, one person who doesn't read posts very clearly, and one person who just blindly accused a "No Kill" bandwagoner even though the more "immediate" No-Kill vote initializers would logically be more suspect.
It probably is useful for any night roles, but the very high possibility of mislynching on one of the good night roles, or the Researcher, or of a second Fool trying to get himself lynched on Day 1 is leading to an unwillingness to lynch under these circumstances.

If we get to a point where starwars is in danger of being lynched, I will remove my vote to keep him from being lynched too quickly. At this point, however, I see no one more worthy of my vote.

Moonwalking Dead : Just seconding most of what Kiddo just said, so you have confirmation. The Fool role was just introduced to Vizzed Mafia, so I have no opinions of that yet.

... I still don't see enough of a reason to change my vote just yet, though stuff is starting to come together a little.

I'm just going to throw my opinion of the entire "Mutliple Fool" thing.

Jake implied he wasn't enough of an ass to put more than one in. I don't believe that, though. I suspect that we have anywhere between 2 to 4 Fools. Two, because any less isn't his style, and four, because any more than that would make lynching near impossible. Admittedly, I get the feeling it's more likely 2 or 3.

Really, with 25 people, if we DIDN'T have at least 2 of each role, I would be disappointed. If the Loose cannons were really lucky enough to hit a Forger, then I wouldn't put it past him to have another one. We also might have a second Researcher, but I feel that may be one of the few roles with only 1 person - We all saw how effective 2 Researchers that knew each other could be 2 rounds back.

I also believe we have at least 1 Gun Launderer. If anybody really thinks that someone might be a Fool, it might be safer to shoot them, as opposed to simply letting them live. The faster we get the paranoia out, the better.


Also, I assume shooting people with Guns is accurate, just like on a lynch, just because of how Jake explained how that works. So if it says you shot the Godfather, you really did just shoot the Godfather.

The thing is, we know next to nothing. We don't know how many mafia there are, so lynching someone on a hunch leaves a very slim chance of actually catching a maf.
Then again, repeatedly nling could get us into lylo without even knowing it.

There's not much we can do but get reports through nling. Which sucks. I wish I could do something useful.

I'll hold my vote until we learn what options we have to do which don't have great chances of failing.

Unvote. I believe starwars is pitching for a lynch as a Fool, because the actions taken by him are either begging for a lynching or generally unhelpful. Not necessarily scummy, but definitely a hindrance to the town.
