I'd Still play video games even if they were illegal, I mean i doubt any decent games would be made for the consoles they would all be flash games online and stuff.

I just don't see how you would be able to ban the video game franchise in the first place. But saying that there's bound to be a strong campaign that video games cause a lot of violence in kids when they grow up because some people will believe any cock and bull story they read or hear in the news

I'd still play them despite the fact that they are illegal....I respect the Law and all but that would be too ridiculous to even try to resist.

I had to vote "play anyway". No law ever stopped me from doing many  crazy things in my life before. So why would Illegal gaming stop me for any reason? Screw Papa Law and game out anyway.

It's kind of stupid to ban the video game franchise.

But if in some weird way it happened I would most likely do everything else on that list.

I mean from time to time I might sneak in some emulator action but it would be really boring without video games in our lives.

It's a good thing that it will never happen.

Laws are meant to be broken.

On another note, this issue is kind of like other things. Certain beverages were banned for, oh, I don't know, around fifteen years, and later America had to rescind on the Constitutional Amendment that allowed this criminalization by adding another Amendment. There were simply too many able and willing to break the law in order to have a good time, and too many people whose livelihoods depended on such sales. Since the substance was banned, the risk involved in drinking it suddenly became more alluring. Eventually, the situation degraded to a point where the populace was essentially screaming for an end to this law. A similar effect could be seen on the video game industry if ever a ban was put in place.

Not only that, but when a government makes something illegal, they basically admit they've lost control. When an act becomes criminal rather than socially distasteful, there is no way to regulate the trade. Such restrictions as age ratings (Rated T, for Teen, for example) would become nonexistent, since the entire thing is condemned and punishable by the law. Children could, and would, literally be able to get their hands on video games featuring mature subject material, such as, but not limited to, bloodshed, gore, and adult relationships. You don't think much of a nine-year-old playing Pokémon or Mario Bros., but what happens when their your kid, and they get their hands on a game that we would call "Mature"?

Sorry to delve into such a long-winded speech, but certain things are just laughable. This is a poll meant for fun, but you threatened to take my video games away. D:< That is a serious offense to me, and I was merely justifying my reasons for breaking the law. Peace to my fellow video game addicts!

I don't know. I probably wouldn't play them because I'm such a rule follower. There would still be books and board games and what not. I'd probably be a lot more productive.

I don't really know. I might break the law and play here or there, but aside from that I'd watch T.V, read a book, or play outside.

If video games were illegal I would not play them but I would definitely create my own fake version of a game.
