Personally I think it does exist, it depends on how the situation turns out.

Sometimes a short encounter or a relationship that isn't permanent can still be food for our soul - We can experience love, and learn and grow from our experience in the relationship. My first relationship didn't end up being permanent. But I still learned and grew from it, and I learned how to be a better partner, and what I am looking for in a person, because of it. Despite it ending, it was still worth it.

My parents have been married for just over 20 years. My dad knew he was going to love my mother for the rest of her life the moment he met her (that's what he described meeting her as). Despite going through the stress of raising four children together, and experiencing financial and emotional hardships, they are still together and I know they still love each other - I see it every day. I don't think my parents will ever get divorced because they definitely did NOT make a mistake in marrying each other. So, yes, I do believe it exists.

as i mentioned love for people is about the same: It is very hard to find, but it exists. It's just a feeling that's hard to explain. Do I believe in love at first sight? Well, yes. 9 times out of 10, if you like a person, you'll keep liking them. (unless what you see is only on the outside)

yoshpit222 : I agree with you yoshpit. But i don't know about nine out of ten. how about maybe four out of ten, because sometimes somebody sees somebody, falls in love with them, but the person that holds somebody faxuation does not like the person in return, hmm?

Maybe my numbers were a little overexaggerated concerning people in general...as for myself, I usually don't fall for someone once i see them, but when i do, well so far, its been good

yoshpit222 : Ditto. When I fall in love with someone, however, that feeling is usually returned (three out of four, if I remember correctly). Those three relations didn't last long. However, I learned something from each one.
SunflowerGaming : so I guess to answer your question, love does exist. It might not work out in the end, but you should definitely be able to take something out of it.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see if I ever experience this kind of love. Maybe that kind of love doesn't last. It's a shame. I just wonder, is there any kind of thing as true love. So far, these answers don't really make me think there is. Who knows?

I see. I guess it all depends on the person. Eh, maybe one of these days I'll find out for myself. Til then, I guess I will remian a skeptic.

I know that sounds melodramatic, but it's true. I had to relearn that.

I feel like love does exist.. even though there is heartbreaks, trials and things you have to go through especially when you are in a relationship. Nothing is perfect and it never will be.  I do know love exists though yes theres gonna be those times of heartbreak and hurt.  When you find that person that loves you though for you, not just for your looks or to get in your pants but that one that actually cares.. even if your hurt it still turns out to be love.. in some cases though this is not a true statement.

If there wasn't love... I just can't picture a world without it.

Sure love exists. Some people express it in many different ways of showing it, but it is something that signifies the strong bondage between you and your partner. It is special and is meant to be used on someone you have strong feelings for, and not meant to be pushed aside, abused or thrown away. If you really do love someone, then you would know to not hurt them and true love is something that is meant to last a lifetime, and it is hard to find that kind of love anymore, but it is still out there, and it is the strongest kind. So yes, it does exist.

OK, enough with old songs. Yes, love is real, maybe you just haven't found your match yet. I've been in a relationship for almost 7 years now, and despite our ups and downs, were still believe we are made for each other. The key to a great relationship is communication. That's why I wonder how the hell my parents were able to stay together for so long. They don't talk; they scream

I believe it does, though what most people say is love probably isn't. Love is 75% something high school kids say to get to second base.  It certainly does exist, but it is abused very often.
