Nothing Ever Happened To The Good Cartoons. You Outgrew Them. As You Matured You Began To Find Them Boring. When I Get Older I'll Probably Hate New Cartoons. Maybe You Have To Find A Cartoon That Suits Your Taste Like Adventure Time Or Regular Show.

It's kinda a bummer that they don't really make cartoons like they used to.

I guess kids just don't want that campy adventure type of storyline like you would see in Gargoyles or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

If I need to cheer myself up, I will sit down and watch a few episodes of Ducktales, or TMNT and I cheer right up

The cartoons today may not be quite better than older cartoons in my opinion, but I hate when one show just gets cancelled for...live action things. Especially when it's played out terribly. It was suitable back when it was Power Rangers, sure but... some of the things they have now aren't in the very slightest creative to me.  But hey, someone else might actually like that so I wouldn't put it past a show if it ends up successful.

I also don't like the type of shows where it's a bit trippy and hard to pick up on. Has anyone heard of something called Problem Solverz? If not, it's best you didn't. I honestly do give these types of shows a chance but... it honestly makes you feel...abnormal just watching it. And the vivid colors could give a person a seizure. (Which I'm surprised not to hear one lawsuit about)

There are a few good toons today, and as everyone says children of today will look back on saying how THESE shows are the best and how THIS is the golden age.

But there isn't a truly bad cartoon out there. Just cartoons poorly planned out and/or unappealing to the person watching.

The cartoons of today are actually probably as good as the ones from when we were kids.

However, think of it like music.

Both industries change so often that we eventually grow tired, and stay stuck on the same shows we liked when we were kids.

That's why despite shows like Adventure Time being horrible to people like me (who loved Cartoons that weren't THAT much different) it's great to kids.

I going to go out on a limb and say that time is what happened to the good cartoons. Because since you grew up with certain show's your always going to give them an unfair advantage and besides it sounds like your most likely not in there target audience anyway. Besides haven't you watched wolverine and the x-men, they may never have made a second season but it's awesome.

Most of the good old cartoons are now on Boomerang! Most of the 2000s cartoon are on Cartoon Show Planet! Too bad they don't play Hamtaro on Cartoon Planet. At-lest, they play other good cartoons....

Like they say " All good things come to an end " .
