I don't believe in suicide as a solution,or in general.
For me,people who commit suicide just want attention.

Be it my best friend,my worst enemy,or a family member,they must've had their reason (be it a stupid one) and I won't stop them.

I dislike suicide and my personal opinion is whoever does it just doesn't deserve to live.

Yeah I do agree with you there are sometimes when people find themselves in critical situations and can't see life as livable....there are various reasons and situations..One case is in the hospital when you see people are in pain to third degree, myself I have been working in a clinic and visits to the hospital ...make me realize the real pain of these people...
Another case is in college ...when I heard a guy committed suicide because the girl whom he loved rejected him....Well can't really say how much it is justifiable...because it depends on the person concerned and the situation/state of mind he found himself whilst doing this act...

To be completely honest, I've thought of it as a way out, but I have never tried it. I don't think people are looking for attention, I wasn't anyways, but sometimes it really is a way out or a cry for help. I'm lucky because I have amazing friends that I can talk to. If it weren't for my best friend, I would have killed myself.

I don't get why people say it's selfish or they just want attention. A lot of the people I know who are depressed aren't looking to please just themselves. I always thought about the people around me and what they would feel like if I offed myself.

In my opinion suicide is a selfish and cowardly way to deal with your problems. Obviously this isn't the case with all suicides as some actually have a "solid reason".

The reason i think it's selfish is because they do not realise that just because they end their life does not mean it will not bring a lot of negative emotions to over people. I've had someone try to commit suicide in my old hostel, thankfully i managed to stop him before it's too late.

It's like comparing your life to a cake. Just because you do not like it does not mean that destroying this cake will make everything better. It's more likely to make people care less for you and perhaps dislike you.

For example, if Johnny lost all of the people close to him, he might have thoughts of committing suicide because he feels he has no more purpose in his life. However, don't get me wrong if something like that does happen to a person, it doesn't necessarily mean that's what'll happen. I was just naming an example of what COULD happen as there are a lot of factors that could result to this.
