Rad Racer is one of the best games I have ever played when I was a child. I used to have this game and play it all the time. I wish I had it still in my possession, but I can't find it. The best racing game on the NES.
Graphics - 9
The graphics are amazing for an NES game. The best thing about it is when you hit the Select button, it plays as a 3D screen, but you need the 3D glasses to play the 3D version of it.
Sound - 9
The sound is good. What's weird is that when you start to lose control, it makes this annoying fast bleeping sound, which is kind of funny, but it is just what it is. The engine gets you that feeling back in the past. 
Addictiveness - 8
I would play this all the time, like I said. It is just so awesome and you will never see it coming when you go so fast.
Story - N/A
There is no story in this game. All you do is race to the finish before the time runs out. If the time runs out, your engine will go out and will slowly lose speed, if you make it to the checkpoint, you get more time. This is a whole different racing game.
Depth - 9
This game gets good features. I do not know how many levels there are, but I think there is plenty of them. You have to be good at this to play it. When I was a child, I would go as fast as I can and never used the breaks, I would never make it to the finish line by going so fast. You need to use those breaks when you are doing a sharp turn.
Difficulty - 3
The game is not that hard. The only two things that I hated in this game was when you hit something on the side of the road, you car flips and just moves you in the middle of the road to begin, what I hated what that it takes up time, about 10 seconds, which is not good so you need to steady your driving in this game. The other thing I hated what that when I played this game, I would do so good, but what I didn't like is the cars on the road. They would sometimes get in your way. One time, I had 3 cars on each side of the road and I couldn't past them. Other than that, it is a lot easier when there is less cars on the road.

Rad Racer is a great NES game, probably the best racing game on the NES I have ever played in my life. I highly recommend trying this game out, it is a whole lot of fun and just never gets bored when you are a good played like me. Overall - 9.5
